I think the way Hughton has worked on reinstating solidarity from the back, showing faith in players like figueredo and christie and for now stands by yates and cafu, demonstrates he has seen what he has and this is the best use of the players available. The players look comfortable in passing the ball out from the back and they are starting to press higher up the pitch. Hughton is not stupid and where many disagree with the line up at times CH has changed and tried many formulas so you cannot say he is set in his ways.
I fully expect him to act on the lack of creativity in the final third, the lack of pace and ariel power and desire to create and score goals. CH has been consistant after every match bemoaning the inability to finish off positives moves and score a goal when in the asendancy. Its just not there, whether its timing of runs into the box, being clever and direct we lack it and none of the encumbent attackers have shown that ultimate desire. Cafu is fine until he gets near the box then he fails to commit or shoots like schoolboy. Knockeart and lolley cannot lose their man to get a shot off, pace? And Grabban and Taylor, when played, always seem on the periphery. So we need goals and the threat as the defence cannot hold out continuously. I really hope Hughton can remmedy this.

Cracking post - that’s the issue, it’s been there for ages and was masked for a while because of Lolley long shot who now couldn’t hit a cows you know what with a banjo. I’d still start him though as there is more chance of him scoring than most of the others .

Disappointing that CH didn't give more game time to Taylor and any game time to Mighten , Grabban should have been subbed along with Knockerhat and fresh legs bought on after 15/ 20 mins giving both of them game time and match fitness.

So what was the point of this massive squad being assembled?
And now fans want more?
Most of you said it was the best squad we ever had full of experienced championship players?
Been a change of mind?
Well let's go shopping again and watch it fail again. 😁.

I'd hold judgement until after January Rutland. You're right, it's clear this team needs an injection of pace, energy and directness in the final third, its blatantly obvious. Yet a certain Alex Mighten that brings all of those things to the team, sits on the bench every game. So does Hughton really know what the team needs, I'm not so sure. You also say CH has tried many forumlas, I'd agree in terms of personnel. The problem being, when something has worked and made us more of an attacking threat, he has reverted back to the usual inconsistent performers. Yates, Figeuredo, Cafu, Ameobi to name a few. The likes of Soh, Mighten and Guerrero have come in and done a solid job just to find themselves replaced by players giving half the effort, it's just poor man management. I'd suggest Hughton STILL doesn't know how to get the best out of this team and the progress we're seeing should be happening a lot quicker. Until I see who we bring in, I'm going to hold judement on where we might be at the end of the season, but I maintain, if we don't get this transfer window right, Hughton will take us down.

Well hughton has the perfect game on Saturday to experiment and give the 20 fringe players some game time.

Gazza mighten has no composure and struggles to lose his marker. He has played a couple of times recently and with 2 on him his pace nullified. Granted he took Grabban out of the game recently to score an oppurtunists goal. I think with grabban in the side we lack surprise cohesion and ariel combativeness. I prefer pace centrally and that is where mighten could prosper. Pace out wide is wasted unless you have someone like cash who can deliver. Roberson had no pace neither did beckham but they would create a yard and deliver a killer cross.
You cannot deny that forest yesterday and against stoke are growing as a team in playing it out and that is not easy when you are in a perilous position in the table.
If Grabban hadnt of slipped and misdirected his pen that was a tame effort strsight down the keepers throat.

FF, it’s right to say not many of us saw what a poor squad this is:
Blackett - why?
Soh / McKenna - only needed one
Cafu / gurrero - no Better than carvalho who at least has a the odd goal in him.
Bachirou- simply ridiculous
Freeman- filled the annual let’s sign someone who’s injured role
Knockeart - just hasn’t worked out, typical forest a decent player anywhere else but we somehow manage to ruin them
Ioannou - wasn’t needed unless another was moved on.
Colback - no replacement for Watson
Arter - looked a good signing not sure why it’s not worked out, that said should be playing instead of Yates .
Christie - awful defender and was only needed because the right back we had was sold to fund the above.

I do believe we will be relegated if we don’t move some of the rubbish on abs get a couple of direct players signed. Cafu and Yates need replacing urgently and Christie if at possible .

03 Jan 2021 11:36:27
We do every season 2 star.
We sign clough plays a few games and gets pushed aside
Heffle
Uncle albert
Now its mbe soh
Arter
Inanou
Guerrero
Then the sicknotes we sign.
Colback
Buckeroo
Freeman
Blackett.
Just poor recruitment with no idea how they fit into a team or how they make a team?
When you sign players there has to be a plan and they should be signed to improve a side not just because they are available.

03 Jan 2021 12:10:04
There is a plan mate but it’s the wrong minds making the wrong plan. Until the maggots entrusted by the owner to make a plan are removed, the plan won’t be the right plan. Vrentzos out.

03 Jan 2021 12:52:49
Rutland, he's a young lad, composure comes with game time. he's looked more of an attacking threat when he's played then grabs, ameobi, lolley and Knockhaert. Young players won't get better unless they play. No one has composure in our team unless they're given ample time on the ball.

2021 has started in the right direction, defence looks solid, and rode luck yesterday, just need more creativity going forward,

3 homes games, included the cup game, and think can win all those and then confidence will grow and we can move further up the table

just need to get rid of a few and bring in a few with pace and creativity, but not sure who would come to a club at the bottom of the table at this moment in time

let’s wait and see who will come in, but it is a positive start to 2021 and may it continue.

03 Jan 2021 18:31:46
Forest, if you want to see what other players can do other than the usual favourites then put two or three in.

Playing more than three different players only takes the point out of it as far as matches are concerned it would be just a bunch of strangers put together.

03 Jan 2021 19:03:08
Dissagree mate same eleven play most games all those sitting on the bench need match fitness otherwise they are of no use.

03 Jan 2021 20:23:00
We have too many of the same type of players. We lack pace and a cutting edge. Need a couple with pace and trickery in this window.

03 Jan 2021 20:29:19
Oh, ok. So for yourself it has nothing to do with what they can do, just giving them fitness.

03 Jan 2021 20:41:31
Its their only chance to impress hughton not that it will make any diference.
