Don’t see what everyone’s problem with Yates is?
He’s a steady player and a hard worker that gives 100% he might not be the best passer, dribbler, header, shooter. But when he lacks in technical ability he more than makes up for in hard work and passion.
I’d sooner have a team of Yates’ who care and put a shift in week in week out than a team of Ameobi’s who have the technical ability but can’t be arsed.

I keep saying gazza but I’m going to say it again . If we are willing to accept performances like the one we get from Yates - and others to be fair - we have very low standards if that’s the best we can do . It’s astonishing that people think that standard of player will land us anywhere other than where we are right now .
