The only thing that matters at the minute is we are struggling to win football games .
A manager with seemingly less credentials than hughton has turned Barnsley 360, it’s a strange one for sure. What Barnsley have that we have none of is spirit . So whether it’s right to criticise the players or not that reality is we are at the wrong end of the table and struggling for decent results against teams you hope we could compete against . It’s worrying times for our football club because we don’t really know what’s wrong do we?
Whatever it is it’s been wrong for about 20 years . For what it’s worth my view of this season is that keeping cash and watson and signing McKenna and Taylor was probably enough to keep us competing . The next run of games could be very, very damaging, the short term problem is I don’t think the owner understands how poor this team and is and is probably already questioning why hughton doesn’t have us on a firm upward trajectory like his counterpart yesterday has managed .

A very astute observation 2star and that is the big worry. You only have to look at the players we have signed. Mckenna the exception and maybe taylor. The only type of player available to us are ones unwanted by their clubs. And that infortunately is one of the big issues. We don't push the boat out to sign players like TONEY. We have a large collection of half defent plsyers but we lack real quality and ascmuch as Hughton is a top manager the tenacious leg biters and speedy forwards are not in this squad. I fear for him but can onlyvpray he does enough to keep his job until the jan window. Just a tweak not an overhaul.

Thats all down to team spirit.
Unfortunately you can't get team spirit when you bring in fourteen new players and change the coach.
Loans are diabolical and undermime team spirit even more.
Non of the loans are doing anything, other than telling our recent signings they have no future even though they haven't been here six months?
Expect more of the same.
Its just a conveyor belt of players coming in with only the odd one actually being any good and no ideas about building a new team.
Sorry but untill the conveyor belt stops we will be stuck in no mans land.
Never in a million years will that work as a plan.

O'Neil was a dinosaur? allegedly
Lamouchi was clueless and boring but took us higher than any?
Hughton has the credentials but we are languishing in the bottom half?
Marinakis has got it right thogh?

We need a reality check. If we can't beat the likes of Barnsley with the players we have there is something seriously wrong. Promotion contenders? Some players must have come here in the summer thinking things were going to happen at this club, they've been a disappointment to each other.
I no longer get fed up when we lose, I expect it.
I no longer get to the edge of my seat when we're in the final third, we won't score.
I no longer read what he manager says post match, painfully repetative.
This club is broken, I'm just not watching this dross anymore.
