Countless managers have worked with him. as much as he's the son of a legend, and a pretty decent forward, I still think he was not what we were looking for.

Of course I don't want us to lose. But it would be typical and I disagree. He never had the chance he deserved at Forest.
As for the idea he wasn't what we were looking for, the question would be who was looking for? Freedman thought he'd be a great player. Montagnier didn't have a clue what you need in English football, Brazil knows he was the best finisher at the club, Warburton rated him, Karanka not sure, O'Neil liked him, Lamouchi didn't seem to have much interest in developing youth players.
The club puts so much pressure on Managers that they daren't develop young players. That is the issue here in my view.

I would have liked him to be a success, however I don't think Warburton, or any other Championship clubs were scrambling for his services. surely rival scouts must have been checking him out?
