The problem lies deep in the "heart" of this team. Center-midfielders, especially Ryan Yates -RY-, do not contribute at all in the offense (as already argued he -RY- is very static, slow, and lacks of any attacking ability/ skills) . Yesterday, he -RY- also offered 2 ready goals to the opponents.
And, our dear Sarah Clapson (Nottingham Post) continues her "coverage" (either with post-games' high evaluations/ assessments or by omitting to blame him for his mistakes, very slow "tempo", lack of attacking contribution, etc) .
Aitor Karanka did not want him, Sabri realised that (very late) and this year started not using him with the first 11.
Any objective observer could have seen that; last year, when he was out of injury (around this period of the year until the end of it -referring to calendar year; not season period-), we reached the top of the table. When he was back and started playing, we started falling (ended up to the 7th place) . Not the only one to blame, but he is one of the factors.
I do not know what's going on with him. Somebody in the organization/ company offers him a blind support, at the cost of the team, though.
Hope Koulis Dourekas (CEO) and the owners (Marinakis/ Kominakis) could detect that and resolve the issue.
N. B. : Do not have any problems and I do not criticize the HUMAN BEING Ryan Yates, but ONLY the football player Ryan Yates.

Agree2 Disagree0

A tad unfair I think .

I also think it’s a bit unfair, credit Ryan that he keeps getting into scoring positions, not many others are,

Andreasa you are entitled to your opinion but to single out one player in a team game in my opinion is totally wrong. The whole team are on the pitch and they all need to take responsibility and work together and help each other out. Yates wasn’t great yesterday but barring McKenna none of them stood out. We are in yet another transition period and hopefully the manager and the team start to get a better understanding of each other’s game and start to pick up points.

Keep the Faith.

Transition?
We are fast becoming relegation fodder.
I admire your optimism but you can't take any positives out of yesterdays shambles.
Lamouchi got slaughtered for using those tactics and now we have better players'
Allegedly.

Ff79 you constantly post on here about the constant change in personal and managers so why the? I also posted above that barring MCKenna the rest of the team wasn’t up to much against Middlesbrough. Since CH has taken over I have seen an improvement apart from yesterday. But one thing I can’t understand is it doesn’t seem to matter who’s in charge we play the same. There’s no difference in the football from when Karanka was in charge. I will stay optimistic and positive though because I will not allow myself to be anything else. I just will not fall into the moaning negative mindset of some fans. A few more games and we will be flying.

Keep the Faith.

But what's the point kidding yourself berserker?
Your eyes tell you its not good.
Positive is when you can actually see something to be positive about.
Hughton was at fault ywsterday with his personel on the pitch and his negative tactics of just going for a nil nil.

Hopefully he will get it right soon. Saturday is part of his learning curve, still time to get things sorted.
