Seems like a few on here think that Grabbons awful form, missing sitters and penalties going back to last season, lack of effort etc. justifies a wage increase over and above his 35000 a week which as been mentioned. If and it is only an if, because we don't know if that is the case that is true that can only have a massive detrimental effect on other players at the club who give there all on much less. If Forest have decided to hang on to him till January I can understand that, and look to bring in new blood up front, it keeps our numbers up, agreed. But to reward his performances of late and disinterested attitude with a wage increase is ridiculous, if that is the case. U REDS.

Thats what hapoens when recruitment has no idea and then wonders why players who have actually contributed something get pissed off.
The club has young players like mighten left to sell to pay for these defensive midfield signings but we are running out.
So what then?

Apart from cash I don’t believe any of them were worth their corn during possibly the biggest capitulation ever in sport, at least we still famous for something.

If you just talk about last term then the fact Grabban was the first Forest striker to score twenty goals in over a decade then yes he deserves a pay rise when other players have been brought in on similar, if not more money than he and yet to prove themselves in a Forest shirt.

This is the problem with our recruitment because we are not looking for young hungry players with something to prove we bought in lots of players looking for there final pay check. Forest should have bought in a younger striker to replace walker, now they have no option to pay grabban what he wants as they have only 2 other strikers one we not even seen. No player in the championship is worth 30k a week, a wage cap is what football needs as it has got stupid.

If you are the main striker andd start nearly every game you SHOULD get 20 goals. That should be a given. No Forest player deserves a wage rise after they proved they don't have the bottle at the end of the season.
If anyone is agitating for a rise then sell them!

Sorry, I should have said in a team expecting to get promoted your main striker should score 20 goals. He bottled it and does not deserve a pay rise.
Mid table teams the main striker normally gets about 15 goals. Promotion teams 20 plus unless they have plenty of other regular scorers (and we don't)
Don't forget Grabban was already on very good wages for this division.
