Dreamer re Grabbon. I think it would be no great loss if he moved on as he is past his best and at 32 is not going to get any better. He has not looked remotely interested in doing the hard graft required from a lone striker and despite his 20 goals last season it could and should have been double that with missed penalties an sitters. Also that aside he comes over as a player that as an attitude problem, could be wrong here, but he as never struck me as a team player. Firmly beleive Lamouchi only made him skipper to pacify his ego while it is obvious he is not captain material. That shold go to McKenna or Arter imo. So to answer your question, move him on in January and try and recoup some cash towards a younger committed player who can compete with Taylor and Guerro for the shirt, preferably a player with genuine pace. Totally agree Retford Grabban is a bad apple and should be let go in January imo.
Should have bought Toney but didn't so we have to get Taylor fit and get some game time out of Guerro until Jan.
Then we need to buy Knockaert and get a striker in.

Grabban is clearly out of form but to suggest he should have scored 40 goals last season is way over the top. Yes he missed chances but even the best miss chances. He still managed to score 20 in a team that was mainly set up defensively and without his goals we would have been nowhere near the play offs. Something clearly is not right with him at the moment and a few games on the bench are probably the kick up the backside he needs.

Thanks for the replies people, not an easy one to sort out until January, hopefully Taylor will keep scoring goals until then, certainly agree that the armband should go to arter or McKenna. Can close this debate down now lads. U REDS.

I wonder how many other clubs slate their 20 goal season strikers, unbelievable.
It wasn't just Grabban who finished last and started this season poorly now was it.

Ginger, reasonable challenge but his demeanour and body language have changed mate . He’s stopped trying I think he’s had enough of the club, can you blame him?
