My team for tomorrow playing 4231 (with a few tweaks) would be same back 5 as Rotherham) Sow and Arter holding, Lolley number 10 in the hole behind Grabban, ( he's bound to come good v Derby) Taylor and Knockeart on the flanks but, crucially, fluid and interchangeable. Cocteau is stubborn and will not change his failing playing it out from the back even without Rooney so Lolley to harass the last man constantly until his legs give in . As Cloughie used to say make a bloody nuisance of yourself young man. Replace Sow after an hour or until he starts to come to the referees attention with Yates (or Colback or Cafu depending on the state of the game. Knockeart replaced with Ameobi or Mighten as they tire, Lolley replaced by Freeman as the gaps open up towards the end of the game. And for Gods sake let's GET ON THE FRONT FOOT FROM THE OFF! Thoughts fellow Reds?

Sow won't play he is a liability particularly for this gsme. This may sound daft but i would play ameobi and mighten down the middle. Mighten is headless chicken at the moment but his pace down the middle will terrorise a poor derby defence. Ameobi can hold the ball work it and get shots off very quickly, unlike taylor and grabban. Lolley and knockeart can take care of the wide positions.

I think we’d be better off starting with Lolley and Freeman playing together, I would put Taylor up top as he's a bit more physical than Grabban.
I’d stick with Yates and Arter in CM just to help the strikers and bring a mix of energy and technicality to the centre. I would happily keep the rest of the squad the same.
I agree Mighten and Ameobi on so we can attack at pace for the last 20-30 minutes. And stick an extra defender in for the last 10 minutes to shore up the defence but allow us to go 343 and play on a counter.

Drop Colback and Sow preferably from 20,000 ft without a parachute! One because he's a sicknote and the other because he's poor and a walking red card

Is Knockheart fully match fit? , i'm pretty sure that Taylor is not 100% yet even by his own admission you need to be playing to get fully fit this may well be why the team sheet has been pretty much the same.
training must be average if players are not coming up to fitness levels.

Kung Fu good point but I’m sure professional footballers are fit enough to give us an hour of intensive play. Especially if they re told it will only be an hour so give it all .

What Yates I couldn’t hit a cows arse with a banjo? Not really the help our strikers need is it? I agree we need midfielders who score goals but most on here didn’t want to entertain a player a would grab a few from midfield, it’s ok though we’ve got Yates who couldn’t bury a body in pre dug grave!

Same team Munmad but Colback for Yates.
For me it’s a choice between Arter and Yates and I’d go Arter every time.

Id ditch colback full stop crap player who every newscastle manager tried to get rid of.

Can't tackle withot picking up yellows.
Awful player who brings absolutely nothing to a team.
