Firstly great 3pts today.

Secondly I personally don't think Grabban is worth his place ATM, if we are going to play 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1 Taylor to me is a better option

Thirdly how can he be captain that needs to be a defender or midfielder Arter or McKenna imo

Grabban doesn't look fit or at the races maybe his Achilles problem is back if so bench him until he's 100 per cent.

Agree4 Disagree0

Agreed munmad i would go further. I listened to his interview and its obvious he felt agreived thst lamouchi was bulleted. He is miserable and lacks authority and is unconvincing. Personally i have never taken to Grabban and hope soon that the likes of mckenna gets the armband. Taylor needs a run and i think he has more physicality about him. We definayely needed another option up front but we go with whst we have.

17 Oct 2020 19:58:40
Have you seen anything from taylor so far?
Just asking as i haven't seen anything at all just looks lost.
That leaves us with Guerrero who i don't think we will see.
Grabban not getting any younger but once again got no supply were he needs it.
Cant forgive the offsides as they were always just in their half.

Good points.

17 Oct 2020 20:19:47
79 i agree re taylor and have said as much recently. However i think as we have little options up front maybe taylor in the new set up might be a better option.

17 Oct 2020 20:43:48
I don't know rutland but what i do know is if we had saved buying all the foreign players and instead of paying them to do nothing we could have signed toney for six million who has hit the ground running.
Taylor was never the answer.
Toney will also go up in value.
Anyway we buy quantity over quality and that's the outcome.

17 Oct 2020 21:11:27
I agree 80% of signings unnecessary save the money buy Toney, it’s difficult to see the logic .

17 Oct 2020 21:12:34
I agree about buying quality over numbers in and Toney could, and possibly should go up in value but consider this.

The club this term have decided to go for the gamble of some foreign players but also players that have done well in the Championship.

Taylor is one of those but because he chose to down tools so he did not get injured for his big move he became not fit enough, but i think he should be fitter than he is, it was his responsibility to do so.

Toney was a gamble and so far it has worked out well for him. Toney however has gone to Brentford, a team that play good football, attack minded football.

If Toney could not make it work at Brentford then it was only down hill from there on in.

Grabban was the first striker in a long while to score twenty goals for Forest but he looks ordinary very often.

Toney had he joined Forest could well have been the same, just because a player hits the ground running at one club does not mean he would do the same anywhere else he would go.

17 Oct 2020 21:26:23
Toney has pace and a touch of class.
Id take that all day long over 14 non discript players that are at the end of their careers.
If this season goes wrong and we fail to get promoted then you just see the fall out from it?
We will be ruined make no mistake.
Keft with a huge squad of 30 plys players on big bucks it really is scary the path we've gone down.
Like i say i really really hope it works but am seriously worried if it doesn't.
Thats just an honest assessment.
Not moaning.

17 Oct 2020 21:28:44
It doesn’t mean he wouldn’t either? You could say if he’s hit the ground running somewhere there was more chance of him improving the team than the long list of misfits (I can’t be bothered to list them again ) that we’ve signed . I hope we find away of getting swapping of the slow pedestrian players like freeman for players with energy such as knockart and Lolley . Whoever said try Lolley it N010 could be right . I’d never heard of freeman until he came here but he’s not lifted my spirits at all . Maybe he will improve with time but he just looks too slow to make an impact .

17 Oct 2020 21:34:18
I’d like to see a formation that can utilise

Knockart, Lolley Grosiciki and either grabban or Taylor . We’ve got loads of DM’ s to slot two in behind . Lolley works hard and I believe knockart does too. Mighten and ameobi can add more energy as subs .

Is freeman just on loan BTW?

17 Oct 2020 21:36:42
Bit early to write Taylor off isn’t lads?

17 Oct 2020 21:50:17
Strikers always seem to take a while to get going when they come here . He seemed to help make us a bit harder to play against when he came on today.

17 Oct 2020 21:59:20
Not for me mate a third tier player and on silly wages.
One game at the city ground against us is nòt a reason to bring him in.
Just have to see what happens when knocheart and grosiki come in and see if more chances are created?
Lolley at no ten with those two on the wing should create chances?

17 Oct 2020 22:05:13
I was not criticising Toney, just saying he was a gamble, not certain to do so well.

It is easier as a striker to do well with a team like Brentford.

Yes some of the Forest signings do not seem to make sense but it is too soon to write them off.

Yes i agree every team needs as much pace as possible so bringing in some players with pace would have been good.

The team is what it is and i hope the guile of the players over comes the lack of pace.

17 Oct 2020 22:21:32
Every signing is a gamble most of ours fail.
Blackett will be one you won't see again and that annoys me as we never needed him in the first place same goes for buckeroo cafu.
We sign arter andcolback on megabucks but as has hapoenened previously the manager prefers yates who hardly anyone on here rates?
We already had sow on mega bucks and he will go by the wayside now and sow he should as he can't stay fit anyway.
We need for one window this January to sign no more players and try to offload as many as possible.
Id be quite happy with a mid table finish and steadying the ship and bringing i n three quality players next summer while getting rid of a dozen of this squad.
Think the bar has been set though so chris will have to deliver this season.

18 Oct 2020 00:44:42
Sow can’t stay on his feet either . I see reading are missing Blackett!

18 Oct 2020 07:35:46
I really never like a striker to be captain should always be a Defender or Midfielder, who can see the game from the back, just do not feel Grabban is up to the task, i also do believe that Mckenna or Arter should take the armband, i also think need to bench Grabban and give Taylor a start and go with him for few games

well roll on Tuesday and need to get the first home win too.

18 Oct 2020 10:36:06
Forest i have to agree with you about most of the clubs signings failing, that has been down to the club not thinking about what the team needs.

They have just flooded with defensive midfielders, and defenders every window, the players brought in more often than not did not seem to have been scouted properly because they have not had the qualities needed by the team.

Whether or not Blackett was needed can be argued, i would suggest he was brought in not only for his championship experience but for his being able to play at both left back and as a central defender, therefore he would play often in one position or be good cover in each position he can play in.

Arter, Colback, Taylor, and the other Championship experienced players are on big money but that is usually the case with players proven at Championship level, and the club decided some players with that experience was needed.

You have said every player signed is a gamble and once again i agree with you on that but most if not all the Championship experienced players are either on loan or no fee has been paid to a club for them.

Toney although young, full of promise, and exiting to watch when on form would as you put it would have cost six million, that for Forest is a expensive gamble.

I however do have to say that if the club decided to look in the long term and brought in less players but young talented players and for them to grow together as a team that would be great but for some reason the club as choosing not to do that.

18 Oct 2020 14:40:03
For Christ sake you lot STOP bitching about the players, they are Forest players we’ve just won our first game under a new manager and you still ain’t happy, grabbon should be dropped Taylor not good enough, give it a rest. What does the team have to do for you to be happy, WE HAVE JUST WON OUR FIRST 3 POINTS can’t understand some of you, just enjoy the moment 🥳🥳🥳.
