Think Colback is a passenger ATM and needs to play 3 or4matches for the U23 team to get fit.
Personally I would play Arter as holding mid with Lolley Freeman and Landsbury as a three in front of him with Grabban and Taylor up front.
If no Lansbury then play Cafu as holding player and Arter further forward.

I think Lansbury is past his sell by date. If the club did sign him it would take weeks to get him match fit, and we have enough unfit players in the squad already.

Buncross if anyone is passed his sellby date its Colback. He is very limited in his ability. I doubt villa would allow lansbury to becme un matchfit? Yes msybe a bit rusty but that lad would be a perfect fit for us right now. Bit of a Joey Barton with more goals in him.

There is no way Dean Smith will have cut Henri any slack but can we afford any more high earners at this juncture in time ?

Biggest mistake Lamouchi made was either by keeping players out of form in the team or sticking with injury prone players.
I am amazed Colback is in the starting 11 still. Just drawing his wage is his priority - same as when was at Newcastle - lost his hunger in last few years imo.
40-1 is good odds for a team totally rebuilding from scratch - not only a new team but also a new manager. Should all come together in 2021/ 2 hopefully.
