Very good question.
There are 126 points still to play for.
Last seasons final play off place had 70 points.
I can't imagine we will lose as many home games as we did under Lamouchi
And Hughton can sort out our problems quickly. Maybe allowing to drop another 40 points you could be looking mid 70s to 80.Perhaps iam being to ambitious. Or I am relying to much on Hughton to get it right sooner than a bit later.

I happen to agree with your assessment there Red. We have just hired a top drawer football manager. I would be happy with a challenge the season after this but I wouldn’t bet against getting a decent points haul this season. Top 6, maybe even top two. Chris Hughton is that good, and so are a lot of players we have at the club.

Will we win as many aways games?
One thing Lamouchi got right was thecaway form and but for a few lapses would have been enough for the playoffs without thelast minute collapse making a difference.
He also turned cash into a very good fullback and forest got a nice earner.
So Lamouchi didn't do too badly when you look back over just a 12month tenure.

Everything deserted him in the end, I’m glad he’s gone I wish him well. For all he achieved last season has to be balanced against the fact in the end he achieved very little and has probably cast the dye for this season to be one I’d struggle as well. With the best will in the world it could take hughton a long time to sort this out, I doubt he will sorry this straight away, I think it’s still going to be a season of struggle . My worry is I think people might be expecting an unstoppable March up the table playing opponents off the park every week. Very much doubt it, it will take time and we might be bottom half fodder all season now. Players look very unfit and have no confidence whatsoever.

2 star Lamouchi has nt left that legacy of a squad behind though.
Even he was given it to work with.
Now chris has to work with it.
Im with you its a tall order as i keep hearing on here that we have now signed proven championship players.
Arter'Colback Blackett, freeman and chritie that's five out the thirteen we've signed so the vast majority have no experience.
There is also a distinct lack of pace in the squad too.
So don't expect too much too soon from Chris.

I agree. I also agree with your Lansbury post, 10 goals from midfield most likely nailed on . We do need such a player .

🤞🻠Hope you’re right eastcoast. Chris will need to find a settled back 4 like we had last season. It wouldn’t shock me if he turned to Dawson. For us to make top 6 this season I think the gaffer will need to pull a few strings and get a couple of quality signings in. Interesting week ahead.
