With all the defenders we have, it would be a good idea for Forest to move Dawson to a coaching role. The players brought in have been spoken about as being strong and aggressive which is just what the team needs when the play certain teams. A fast winger is needed, and another creative midfielder but there is still time for that to happen but if not then one of the players could be moved like cash was. Christopher Operi is a player, although a left back he likes to get forward so might be put on the left wing. The transfer window is still a way off, Worrall could still leave plus a winger, and creative midfielder could still join. Here is hoping anyway. 🤞.

Speaking of Defenders, Mr Worrel's been at it again on Social Media. "The one thing Nottingham needs is. "
Yeah mate, a defender who doesn't have a mistake in him every 2 games.
😒😒😒.

Yes agree, there is plenty of time, Premier League clubs just beginning to get moving with deals for players. i'm sure there will be some good up and coming wingers and creative midfielders available on loan once clubs have settled on their first team squads.
We might have difficulty off loading several players but there are 8 that have contracts expiring next June.

Rogie Red. Maybe Worrell makes the odd mistake.
But that is inevitable when we have a manager that plays defensive letting the opposition control most of the possession. Hoping to catch them on break. Letting teams play against us like this. Sooner or later odds are a defender makes a mistake. Best form of defence is attack.
16 clean sheets last season it’s the late injury time goals we concede that needs to be cut out. But again our managers fault. Likes to hold on when 1-0 up. Instead of killing teams off. Especially at home.

Didnt realise our manager plays in matches
must be his fault for not holding the ball up, up front and failing to take chances and missing penalties
his fault for not keeping possesion in midfield and not creating chances.
His fault for not winning headers in defence and fully clearing the ball with time ticking away.
All the players absolved of any responsibility, let's just blame the manager.

Red Red. I get your point however, it seems to be him more than any of our other back four mate.

If we start like we finished last season we may well see Dawson/ Reid/ Cohen in charge for a few games before the next foreign misfit is appointed? Sorry for the sarcasm but it’s very likely around the end of October.

To be fair to Worrall it must be a nightmare to be w defender on our team, he’s probably already done more defending than John Terry .

The players leader has dared to say he has got the players that he wanted join Forest, if you believe that or not that is what he said so that has given him no place to hide if the results go badly at the start of the term.

Archie, sadly - yes.

10 Sep 2020 19:34:22
Archie and Get Forward so sad you call yourselves Forest fans then sit there wishing us, almost willing us to struggle in a brand new season.
Just don't get it.

10 Sep 2020 20:28:01
Trentender, willing us to struggle? What rubbish, in our players leader own words the players are not fit enough, that does not inspire you to believe.

Remember the lack of guts and team spirit against Stoke, just not good enough, then add to that about six new players have come in, so that will take time for them to get use to each other, then add that to the negative tactics it does not give me much hope.

I do always want the team to do well but i'm realistic enough not to expect the to do well. I do that believe in saying everything will be dandy because i want it to be.

Everything could be different this term because our players leader should have been given better players to suit how he wants the team to play but no way does it mean they are going to be.

I will just wait to see what is dished up, then decide, not kid myself before a ball has been kicked.

Get forward you keep going on about Stoke but that was 1 disastrous game.
Did you expect us not to do well last season?
Overall it was a good season.
Highest finish for years and missed play offs on goals.
Beat most of top 6.
Play off places most of season.
Now we have made some good signings but lost only 1 good player so I feel we have strengthend.
So why you expect us not to do well I really don't get.
Going by bookies who usually get it right they are anticipating us to be there or there abouts.

With Forest i never expect anything and only want the best for them. The trouble with Forest is they do well against the top sides but struggle against teams in the bottom third. It is very well saying they were in the top six most of the season but when it mattered they let in four goals at home.

Most of the season they kept things tight but too often the players leader changed too many players when there was no need to which cost the team points, then off course, yes that game again, against Stoke they only needed a point and instead of getting the team to do what worked most of the season against them the players leader decided to go ultra defensive with eight, that's right eight defensive players against Stoke and they let four goals in, that was where they lost their goal difference.

Yes on paper the team is stronger but games are not won on paper, as i have already said i only judge a new term on what i see not on what has not happened. Think about it if the players leader dared be a bit braver and got the team to play with a bit more freedom they could have been in the top two.
