If the sheep can afford Rooney surely Mr M can afford Messi on a free (he is only on 500,000 a week) 😂 😂 😂

{Ed001's Note - that's 500k after tax.}

Agree0 Disagree0

What about our latest signing!
Greenock Morton amongst others!
So glad we fought off all comers to nab him!
👏👏👏.

I have not seen him play but now he is a Forest player i will wait to see what he is like after five or six games before getting judgy.

Get forward think rogie is just joking mate, he’s probably the least judgmental poster on here.

26 Aug 2020 19:39:39
Well that’s shot it for us then Ed! We’d have been in the frame otherwise!

{Ed001's Note - that's why I mentioned it, so you can be prepared for disappointment when the talks inevitably break down....}

26 Aug 2020 19:57:38
Thankfully you’ve done the compassionate thing and let us down gently, that’s why we all love this site mate, like one big family😆👍.

{Ed001's Note - caring and compassionate, that's me down to a tee.}

26 Aug 2020 20:32:24
Many would say that a range of qualities are needed to facilitate this site! So what’s you view on the forthcoming season from what you know about us . Do you except us to do better, similar or worse? An objective independent view would be enlightening!?

{Ed001's Note - stability tends to lend itself towards better results, so you would have to expect Forest to be better next season. That stability can be vital. It might not be pretty or particularly entertaining to watch, but it should mean you are in the promotion hunt again.}

26 Aug 2020 20:58:05
I’d be happy with that pal, I think we have to stick with the current football philosophy even if we don’t all like it . At least we might not be able to watch it!

{Ed001's Note - fingers crossed, it has been a while since you were in the Prem, about time you got back up now.}

26 Aug 2020 21:09:51
My problem is i won't be able to watch edd.
Theres no way football grounds will be open for spectators unless its at a very reduced capacity.

{Ed001's Note - that might be a good thing with the football you are playing! Seriously though clubs are actively pushing for a return for spectators as soon as possible. The teams outside of the Prem simply can't afford to survive without paying punters coming through the gates.}

26 Aug 2020 21:25:35
I understand that edd but government lines make it impossible.
They are worried about a class full of children and how many people are allowed in a shopping centre so regardless of the economic fallout in football they will put safety first.

{Ed001's Note - money will come first, as it already has. They have to begin to return the country to normality or the economy will collapse. Football is a huge contributor to the economy, it also keeps public morale high, so I am sure it will be amongst the first things to be sorted.}

26 Aug 2020 21:26:20
I know what you mean, when we got close under Davies it was only 12 years now it’s 22 years . After such an absence no one has a right to be there though . It’s such a long time ago now.

{Ed001's Note - wow, is it really that long? Damn that makes me feel old as I remember you in the top flight!!}

26 Aug 2020 22:10:57
While i agree about the economics with you i still see no way will more than a third of caoacity being allowed in.
If that were to happen i'd personally be happy but if you say football is safe to attend in our thousands then we would have to go back to normal life with no restrictions at all.

{Ed001's Note - it will have to happen at some point. We have learnt to live with many similar diseases in the past.}

Football has a habit of doing that, I was reading about the great John Aldridge recently and just couldn’t accept he’s 62! Such a player when I was a kid. I think what skews it with Aldo is he was 36 at USA 94 in my mind he’d have been late fifties maximum.

{Ed001's Note - I didn't realise he was so old! Man time flies.}

26 Aug 2020 22:30:15
To be enjoyed while you can - no doubt 👍.

Im a year older 2 star and your as young as want to be, everyone says i don't look my age and i put that down to the fact i don't worry in general about anything and boy I've have had plenty to worry about if i'd let them get to me.
Never saw myself being old to be honest always said to my brother in munich "enjoy this cus these occasions don't come along very often "
Never thought we would repeat the feat the following season.
Every year flies by as you get older that's for sure.
Going to miss the football next season and my mates, Saturday will be different, mind ill save some money 😀.

2star you must be the only forest fan I know that’s got anytime for Aldridge, most of us remember him for his antics at the old Trafford replay of the Hillsborough game,
