Well just been reading about the reshuffle to Lamouchi backroom staff. Its bewildering. 15 support staff and all from abroad. How does this translate down to the players?
That lot must cost a fortune, no wonder money is tight for transfers. I see some of the new recruits worked in a previous life with SL woopeedo. looks like the same formula will be rolled out again this season. " meet the new boss, same as the old boss. " explains why no transfer fees being paid for players. Its all hire purchase by stealth, pay no fees just wages. I doubt an Ivan Toney will becoming our way anytime soon. And i think the yardstick will be measured by who we let go more than who we bring in.

Agree2 Disagree0

I think most teams now operate with similar amount of backroom staff and it makes sense for Lamouchi to work with people he knows. Frustrating we haven't yet gone and got one or two players who will add quality and require a transfer fee. Agree we have to start shifting out the deadwood who must be depleting our resources earmarked for more incoming transfers and wages.

20 Aug 2020 15:42:34
Don’t think all the backroom staff are from abroad.

20 Aug 2020 16:05:08
Buncross i gave up after the first 7 key positions.

20 Aug 2020 16:14:47
It's totally rediculous rutland more back room staff than players. What do you need a nutritionist for . Big Norm used to train they go for pukka pie and chips 😂 with most of the squad and they were a damn site better team than this bunch of clowns.
Head video man and assistant 🤣 I bet knowing marinakas they use Beta Max . The club is laughing stock .
If they need to sign anybody it ought to be a brick layer to brick the goal up for the last five minutes of every game 🎈.

20 Aug 2020 16:25:07
That’s me, I’m up for that !!

20 Aug 2020 17:00:59
Cant believe some of the moaning dross on here. Pretty sure some people just use this website to vent some pent up anger and frustration. Literally nothing in any of the above posts is worth complaining about. Congratulations, folks.

20 Aug 2020 17:20:51
What's to celebrate wonky, a load of bottlers that bore you rigid with there defensive dross. One shot on target, 25% possession, and no fans feedback or replying to emails ala ff79. and all for the bargain price of £500 a year.
Wake up and smell the coffee mate everybody has. 🎈.

20 Aug 2020 17:23:41
Totally agree re moaning, its all based on guessing what the situation is at the club and trying to come across as in the know. Red balloons your making yourself look daft. All professional teams have large backroom teams. They have moved with times and science to work at looking after the players and getting max from them physically and nutrition is part of it.

20 Aug 2020 17:24:35
Is there a comedian or clown on the list of essential posts ?
CARLO

20 Aug 2020 17:24:53
Wonkey. Its plain rediculous. Footballers tend to be the thick end of the spectrum so why all the science? It gets like mike basset by the day. If you are happy then keep on clapping. Look at the size of our squad of below averageness. The investment goes in all the wrong places. can't you even see that?

20 Aug 2020 17:36:44
Spot on Rutland 🤣🤣👍.

20 Aug 2020 17:58:22
Nice one Carlo 🤣
Yea really getting the max out of them trentender. How to capitulate on the last day of the season like nobody else in the history of football and that's down to nutrition . Should have had a Doner on naan and 6 pints mate 🎈.

20 Aug 2020 19:11:59
I think you guys are out of touch with reality. Seriously. If you want the club to go forward you need to change infrastructure and get behind the scenes right before you can stand a chance at going the right way. As for big money signings, where do you want the money to come from? Whether you like it or not we have FFP, we have to comply to x amount of money and don’t have limitless funds and have staff that need wages, we can’t just magic money up and if we could why would we bother playing football?! We can only go after signings when we have money in. It’s looking like Cash will go which will generate us about 10-12m some of which will be kept and some will be used to reinvest in other players. Just be patient and remember we aren’t in the 70s, 80s or 90s anymore when Forest were a top team, it’s 2020, the year of hindsight, the year of a new way of life, the year of change.

20 Aug 2020 19:23:16
OMFITT. comply with wages. explain the 15 other staff that Lamouchi needs?

20 Aug 2020 19:30:42
Ps. you think Cash will generate between 10 or 12 million? . not a chance. you're looking at 8 Mill tops plus 2 players thrown in.
Marinakis will always put his beloved Olympiacos first and foremost plus he's had more than an enough time to get an infrastructure in place. after all he has experience of running a club prior.
It's you that needs to wake up to the realisation that Forest will always play second fiddle to the big Greeks more loved and preferred other club!

20 Aug 2020 20:38:56
Something new for the professional moaners to get their teeth in to, 15 support staff for manager.
Amusing to me that your speaking from your experience of being involved in professional sport.
I suppose its a change from club getting unknown foreign manager, getting foreign youngsters, getting experienced old British injury ravaged crocks, getting players without a transfer fee.

20 Aug 2020 20:50:26
Yawn yawn. how do you know we haven't been involved in a Professional sport?
It's a banter site but yet again the peacock brigade puff out their chests and vindicate the posters who have a varying opinion to those who wear elton johns star spangled googles! 🤣🤣🤣😎😎😎😎😎.

20 Aug 2020 21:22:51
Trent, these moans are just to fill in the gaps until the real moaning can start when we sign the new Portuguese lads, very soon 😁.

20 Aug 2020 21:42:48
Lol perks - a warm up moan!

20 Aug 2020 23:19:37
For the record i checked out leeds backroom staff. 6 in total. Hhhmmmm.

21 Aug 2020 08:23:09
Rutland I can’t imagine marinakis wants to waste money employing people for the sake of it, after all it’s his money in the end, he is obviously using the same system he uses in Greece, for better or for worse it’s his way, let’s just see how it pans out before getting too hot under the collar mate, you write some interesting pieces, be nice to see a more positive post now and again, I’m hardly a happy clapper, and we all like a moan now and again, but remember the fawaz days with little or no infrastructure at the club, ?

21 Aug 2020 08:51:22
Stevie since the cruel sacking of Martin and the reversal to relying on mendes etc and the recruitment of below average imports its been difficult to be positive. I have consistantly said that i don't desire the prem like a lot do. I will follw forest if in div 2. THe football under sl is dire at times, tho effective at times its on a knife edge, just one mistake from defeat. I did write positive stuff about the bond sl got from such a huge squad but it was always nearly there not grasping opportunities presented. Look if forest want promotion, which has been the instruction from day one then you can almost buy it with two simple steps. Employ a proven manager and buy him half a dozen really good players. don't fanny about with a fake master plan cluttered with smoke and mirrors. I used to look over to the directors box at the huge fawaz family and feel a sense of ostriisation. That feeling is back with marinakis.

21 Aug 2020 09:06:57
I agree and have said all along, the sacking of Martin in my opinion was wrong, but it’s gone now, attacking and alienating this owner will do no one any favours, in the current uncertain world, especially the huge financial uncertainty, who’s to say they’ll be a queue of investors happy to pump 20/ 30 million into running a championship football club knowing there is little chance of any return, ? Just for the time being we need to be happy we have an owner willing to fund the club substantially, I am not particularly thrilled with the on field style at the moment, but am happy to accept we are competitive and funded for the time being, I do however accept the lack of communication with fans particularly over money is plain wrong,

21 Aug 2020 09:26:29
Rutland your research and post re Leeds back room staff let you down. They have 20 back room staff and only 4 are English. How did that translate?
Just saying lol.

21 Aug 2020 09:27:57
I don’t understand the mentality of getting numerous foreign coaches in who do not understand the tightest league in the world where you can be 12 and still fighting for promotion or fighting against relegation. And SL bringing in former coaches he has worked with With if he has not got us in the top 6 at Xmas will most likely be fired and we then have to start all over again. I am sure there must be a lot of ex Championship/ prem players that would make good coaches, hopefully Dawson becomes one in the future with us. Who is actually making these decisions because they are not on the same planet as me.

21 Aug 2020 10:06:17
Lol, still whining about Martin O'Neal, give the needle a jog and play another record.

Usual hot air/ moaning and speculating about things that haven't even happened yet. I worry that some on here must have real trouble getting out of bed in the morning.

I think there is space for at least another backroom member, fan psychiatrist.

As for calling us a laughing stock, lol, seriously, what is wrong with some people. pmsl.

QPR away first day, then Cardiff at home, that could be a lively affair. Really looking forwards to the new season start.

21 Aug 2020 10:35:46
Stevief good post and you are right about the finacial climate and no prospective owner taking over from marinakis. For me its just the ambition of the club and how they have been going about it. Manage your expectations with honesty and reality. These are sadly lacking. Who cares about over stretching your financial capabilities in pursuit of the gold mine called the prem. Get your house in order stop throwing good money after bad. The fans understand staying within your means and a few more years in the champs as long as the process is managed wisely and fairly and the fans get entertained at home.

21 Aug 2020 12:52:10
Rutland so footballers are thick and they normally come from supporters so are they thick as well?
Fawaz as you say its a banter site so if I make a comment disagreeing with you and the like doesn't make me a bad person, don't get so defensive . There are 2 or 3 on here who feel their views are the only ones allowed and just can't cope with an alternative view.
Its not about puffing chests out its I disagree with your opinion, anything wrong with that?
Just one other point, don't get the anti foreign coach brigade.
Leeds, WBA and Brentford, the best 3 sides in Championship last season, all got foreign coaches.
