The recruitment looks set to be another joke.
If this goes ahead I'll take up knitting instead!

Yeah i said a much in a previous post. why do we keep going down the same road with players of no pedigree that nobody has heard of.

Dear oh dear just look at the strikers of similar mould we have had all failed and it will be the same again. Hardly one for us to get excited about.

I hear what people are saying " I've never heard of so and so ", why are we going for him etc
But these same people are saying why can't we look for unheard off gems in the lower leagues like for instance Peterboro and Brentford do. can't have it both ways. Its a gamble but worth taking, some will succeed some won't . Just because they are on Football manager doesn't guarantee success.

Think Trentender it's an English style of play and whether lower league players can adapt to playing higher up such as players being quicker, technically being better and fitness. Also some of the unproven British talent have better scoring or assist records. Some of these foreigners need to adapt to a new country, new playing style and hardly have good track records. When your linked to someone playing in an inferior Spanish or Greek second division and they've scored less than ten goals a season it's hardly worth all the excitement. Some of these leagues lower down in other countries really are of poor standard, I worked with a portugese who said he was gobsmacked by the standard of grounds and attendances outside of the premier with the championship top 10 averaging over 20,000. He said the portugese second division was so poor that any holes or turf missing on the pitch was filled with sand.

Fair point trentender but can the success rate for players we’ve not heard of is appalling, I’ll list them if you need me too but I think you’d probably agree that aside from Figueiredo and ribeiro it’s very much the theatre of the absurd over the last few years. We’re becoming a bit of a Laughing stock with some of these signings now . How many of these no hopers last season were funded by the sale of Osborn for example? We sell Osborn and get Silva and Semedo - enough said really!

As I have mentioned before.
Take a look at Brentfords, Fulham and Leeds foreign legion which hasn't held them back.
I think this Greek lad is being signed for the U23 squad as was the lad from Barcalona. One for the future as the Academy is doing really well.
I agree though we need to improve on the research before we sign players, there has been some dross signed.

We’ve signed loads of players for the development squad lately, perhaps this will all come to fruition over the next few years 👍.
