I'm not sure what you guys think but let's say we can't afford a new quality creative player because we either spend all the Cash money on a striker and winger or can't shift Carvalho for a good deal.
Who thinks the boss should try to get Zach Clough some game time. Talk to him. See whether he can start the new season with a chance of playing?

Carvalho is on the Retained List, who would bid for him? The only people likely are Olympiacos I think. Maybe that's why SL is over there to help sort that out.

RC, I’ve just posted something similar, I’m thinking it didn’t send as it’s not on here .
Clough given game time would have been just as productive as carvalho in our style of play yet we wasted all that money on him and the money a redundant Clough has cost us.
No doubt the club has made some progress but this particularly scenario is as a bad an example of how the club as managed that you could ever wish to find .
It’s a good thing that Lamouchi looks safe but odd when you look at the bizarre tactics, inept substitutions and poor mentality in the players . Many have walked for less and it makes things seem even stranger to me.

Clough is useless. Carvahol is much better but neither suit the managers style. There’s no point sacking the manager when the midfield we have is not good enough. Employ a decent central 3 with Lamouchis tactics and we will be well up there.

to be honest clough didn't do much when he went out on loan so i reckon his confidence is shot. no harm in trying him for a few games i suppose.

Not just confidence he is also a biscuit. Constantly injured. Add all that together and being overrated in the first place means he’s no good to us.

Carvalho is no better and has had chance after chance . 3 managers can’t be wrong although the manager everyone wanting sacking seemed to be on the road to getting the best from him .
I think the point is, why sign him? He’s done notating she all for us and yes Clough is garbage as well but we may as well have wasted just that money . My prediction is carvalho won’t have a much of a career either, we’ve been hoodwinked and it was obvious to the majority very early on. It shows how desperate we’ve become. When his name was shouted incessantly despite the inept performances.

2star what i found weird with carvallaho is his first touch. Crap for a supposed playmaker and his second touch was a tackle. Just not natural enough for me and £13mil.

I guarantee if we sell Carvs he will have a good career wherever he ends up. The last couple of managers we had do not play to his strength. Time to cut our losses and bring in the players that suit our style.

Carvallho no better than clough, you can't ‘ guarantee ‘ anything, he might enjoy a decent career, but not at this level, in this country, too lightweight like clough, and gives the ball away too often, putting his own team on the back foot, he’s been here two seasons now, what will it take to make some on here realise he’s not good or robust enough,

Stevie if I can’t guarantee he’s good you can’t guarantee he’s bad. He might not make it here but he will be one of those players who light it up at another club when he leaves. Carvs is Much better than Clough.

Redtree I can guarantee what I’ve seen over the last 2seasons, a man that most of the time in a match looks like a schoolboy in a mans game, plays a good ball about every 3games and people like you acclaim him as a quality player, the 1st excuse was he was too good for the players around him, now it’s, the managers system doesn’t suit him, the last 2 managers who see him everyday haven’t given him a look in, so maybe they’re wrong, and you’re right, but I doubt it,

I agree redtree lots of players look bad under certain coaches yet thrive under others.
Kevin Campbell was absolutely garbage for three seasons until the donk came along and then he continued to play well at Everton.
Birtles cudn't buy a goal at man utd but was a perfect fit for us.
Sanchez great for arsenal but garbage at United.
The list is endless but its about having a balanced squad with players enjoying their football.

Those kind of players you mention 79 are just pure class. Ronaldo should probably go down as the best ever or be at least well up there on all time greats. Same goes to messi.
