Carvalho has not had an impact at Forest, are 3 past and present managers all wrong? My view is a loan at Olympiacos. After all Mr M must have sanctioned the deal at the beginning.

Plus he has to be one of the highest players, it just hasn't worked whether he could be good enough or not facts are facts he hasn't been good enough in the 2 years he has been with us. He may come good or maybe he is more suited to a different league elsewhere. Apart from a couple of cameo appearances as a sub with the odd nice pass and that game against Boro last season he's done nothing. That's how poor he has been in a 100 odd games since he's been here he's had one good full game. He can't say he hasn't had the support of the fans as a chunk of them always chanted his name so thanks but time to move on, if we can get half of what we paid for him we will do well.

Ok Boro and Villa either he is really good but utterly inconsistent or Villa and Boro played rubbish. Either way a few good games a season hardly justifies being a good player. If he had a 2 or 3 good games then a couple of so so games and won us a few points along the way, there is something to work with. Time to flog that dead horse.

Said at the time we payed 13m for a young calvalho who’d only played a dozen 1st team games. We should of signe Tomlin he’d done more than enough on loan with us to have deserved signing.

He was overpriced but we took the gamble of trying the wolves route and it didn't work.
Blame the owners or those that bought him and others in not the player.
Silvas no good either, the fact he cost less isn't an excuse that he's ok cus he isn't.

Ff79 don’t think anyone is blaming the player, we haven’t gone the wolves route because they signed established quality Portuguese players, sadly carvallho was limited to a couple of games and subs appearances for benfica, so didn’t fit that criteria, but when you’ve more than doubled your clubs record fee, close scrutiny is part of the package, which is why he is more closely looked at than silva.

Carvalaho or silva would fair better with a lee tomlin alongside them. We have no touch players in midfield or up top.
The way we play its all huff and puff, get it out wide and crosses into nobody in the box. Silva puts too many passes astray but needs like minded players around him. Carvallaho thinks quickly and likes to move the ball quickly. Unfotunately both ate easily knocked off the ball. But carvallaho has done nothing to justify let alone improve his stock, so he is not worth a fee. Both players are on contracts so maybe utilising them properly might be useful.
