So no managerial sacking thus far so maybe Sabri has has survived.
If that's the case I'm glad.
He has done relatively well for first season in English football let's hope he has learned what it takes to compete in the Chamlionship and the type of players that will be required.

Agree3 Disagree0

I would have thought it doesn't matter what he's learned (if he has learned anything, and tactically I don't think he has) because he has no say in who is brought in, just has to put up with what our duff DoF gives him.

Trentender, it seems you’re missing the point, what the thinks and doesn’t think about what players are needed is irrelevant . The players are signed for him, someone else decides what is needed, if he as the coach can’t deliver the goods with the team he’s given, he goes and the hierarchy hire another manager who they feel can deliver their football philosophy. Perhaps you do see this but your post infers he will have learnt from his bad signings and know what is needed moving forward . He won’t because he didn’t sign them and won’t sign them moving forward mate .

The cull has not started yet and if their isn't one then you know marinakis will be selling.
Marinakis gave SL a contract believing the goal of top 6 was acheived. You can't blame him, only a fool could let that slip.
Marinakis will not preside over abject failure and their is no softening of this. It was catastrophic and i am surprised forest are not being investigated for match fixing, its that drastic an outcome.
I think the time being taken is because its a massive overhaul with failure at every level. No positives as finishing so poorly and ending up 7th a few points above the mediocracy gives no indication or hint of team unity or consolidation or optimism.
I think with the the virus issue not going away has contributed to the slower process of clearing out and decision making by Marinakis. I believe he is tight and utterly ruthless so expect a tempestuous reaction soon. I'm sorry but no one can avoid scrutiny over this debacle and a clearout will happen and hopefully the dof first, and if anyone says we are building and we need time? Dream on this plan of Markinakis failed and will continue to do so unless he takes advice and let experienced football people with thorough knowledge of this league in to the club.

Do any of us really know as a fact that the manager has no say and the DOF recruits players without managers contribution.
I would think manager tells DOF I need a left winger and DOF will go to owner and ask how much he can spend, then search for players within that budget and then manager picks who he wants out of the list selected by DOF.
Then again I may be wrong.

Mr. M believes he can get a team into the Premier League. Unfortunately he has gone about it the wrong way by appointing a DoF - clearly the reason Karanka left and why Keane and MON realised they could not recruit who they wanted. Such a big stumbling block is unlikely to be overcome, more likely the owner will try again with the same structure for another year, and when that fails, as it will, he'll leave.
There could also be a sell off of our best players, despite their contracts, if a big enough offer comes in. Then I think he will fill the place with Overseas players hoping that will do the trick for him - it won't. Really it's not the manager who needs to be changed it's the owner Fawaz Mk 2.

I think it is true trentender - I really do.
