David Prutton wrote a good column in the post today regarding how fans see their clubs players, they don't care, can't pass, doesn't score enough ect. He also talked about how aware players are that they are custodians for the number on the shirt they wear. He said that he has spoken to some of the lads and says there is no way they don't care or that Lamouchi won't allow his squad not to be hurting. I also here Worrall is taking some stick for going on holiday something a lot of people do if they need to get away for some escapism. It all makes for good reading and rings true. But whether you believe we were poor or average and boring to watch or Lamouchi got the best out of a squad which punched above its weight, its the hurt and heartache of knowing we have to add another one to the tally chart of years out of the premier league and that sucks.

Bottlers all of them . Bottler Worrall bottling it in the last 30 seconds was the beginning of the demise . That moment changed it all, you could see it in the body language . I’m afraid Worrall cannot concentrate for a full game .

We can,t discount the debical that happened at Barnsley and the damage it did to a team who,s confidence was on the slide.
It was a bad bad mistake to mess with the team formation in such a crucial game ,so hard to understand why you would do it ,probably handed Stoke the upper hand when we could least afford it !

Lots of missed opportunities to get the point we required. If we'd seen the game out against Derby then the Barnsley game would have irrelevant.
2star is bang on saying the Derby game was the turning point. We looked a real team in that match and the damage caused by Worralls mistake changed everything. As much as he's improved he still makes at least one BIG mistake every game.
Any reasonable offer comes in I'd get shut. Can't see any team getting promoted with him and Yates in the side.

The whole team just looked completely devastated Fred. See the game out for another 30 seconds and we’ve done the job. I feel for the lad but it was an apocalyptic and cataclysmic error.

It wasn't just Worrall's mistake against the sheep it was Samba's mistake in goal for being weak when trying to claim the ball instead of punching it. That said, we should've been out of sight by then anyway with the chances we had to put the game to bed. I'm not a big fan of looking for one scapegoat when football is generally a team game.

Agree Psycho game missed opportunities, bad keeping and stupid defending cost us.

The team had held on psycho, it’s not a a scape goat it’s a fact . He keeps his head we win the game . we shouldn’t have been in the position where we needed to defend a set piece .

Your right 2 star it's a fact and was stupid but also game should have been sown up which had happened a few times this season and cost us. Just as the defenders have helped dig out 1 0 wins when we miss chances, the team need to ease pressure on back line by taking more chances. But yeah we had it sown up and it was stupid and costly.

25 Jul 2020 20:04:32
You’re right about it being better sown up we depend too much on one goal . To be fair if we had defenders who could defend one goal leads for, game after game, for ninety minutes- they probably wouldn’t be playing forest! Anyway that’s it for me now, inquest over and time to move on from it. As you say no point going on and blaming people .
