Although this is a painful moment we need to be realistic. The playoffs have never worked for us. We held 2 goal leads over Sheff Utd and Yeovil and lost and couldn't take advantage against 10 men for the entire match versus Swansea. This is a blessing in disguise. We are nowhere near Prem ready and I'll be very surprised if Leeds or WBA get over 30 points next season. Let's look at some facts.
1. Lamouchi gave players a chance to impress and found a team and a style that worked for the squad he had.
2. If he is retained hopefully he is given a squad that allows for a plan B. We failed to win games when we fell behind. JAN transfer business complete joke.
3. Fitness and focus needs to be improved to see out matches. We dropped 22 points from winning positions and only gained 6 from losing positions.
4. Bad luck/ poor decisions. Missed pen when 1-0 v Brum
Penalty v Swansea for foul outside box.
Disallowed goal v Qpr.
Numerous draws from last gasp equalisers by opponents.
5. Positives.
Grabban first stiker to 20 goals for 17 seasons.
Worral, Cash, Samba, Sow, Ameobi, Silva, Lolley and Watson all had good seasons. Lots of youngsters to strenghten team.
Next season coming bin a few weeks to ease the pain.
COYR. Onwards and upwards.

Wow 42 you've really thought that through.

Totally agree 42
Its not all bad news, yes gutted about the last month but there is a core of players that just need 2 or 3 good additions.
Manager now has a season under his belt and should be more the wiser what is required to improve the team and how to manage in this league.
Talk of sacking the manager or him resigning ridiculous.

Some of those players you mentioned, 42, could be gone before the new season starts. Cash, Lolley, Worrall to name a few would probably attract the vultures in the Premier League or teams coming down who would offer bigger wages than we can. We will undoubtedly need to sell before we can buy so those 3 will command a bigger transfer fee.

Trentender we will lose our better players, it will be a total rebuild, talking about the managers position is far from ridiculous, in any business this type of dismal failure would put management under scrutiny, it would be more ridiculous not to discuss his future,
