Ryan Yates was progressing last season ,got his limits but great energy .
This season seems a step back ,is it because he ,s missing Roy Kens mentoring ,if so couldn't,t Chris Cohen carry on the job of making him into a all round M/F player ?

I think he's suffered from getting injured close season same as carvalho it makes it tough for them to get up to speed.

It does not say a lot about our first team coaching staff if Cohen can do a better job.

23 Mar 2020 20:12:40
Getting sent off didn't help him either that was one of his strengths while walking a tightrope at times.
Since then he hesitates to tackle.

23 Mar 2020 20:21:28
A player that is hesitant is not a player that should play, a good tackle is all in the position you are in and the timing, not about going in gung-ho.

23 Mar 2020 20:22:57
He’s still miles better than a few that have played in that position this season lol.

Who arran?

Well that's it lads lockdown'im going to take this as an opportunity to get fit
I'm taking up running.
Plenty of open countryside for that and to enjoy while distancing me from people.

23 Mar 2020 22:19:30
When do we get fitted for our electronic tags.

23 Mar 2020 23:15:32
Mate every window that shuts opens a new opportunity.
I'm not pleased how things are but it's no ones fault so I need to find a new focus and while the football has gone the pubs are shut then we can open our eyes to nature, my garden is full of squirrels blue tits great tits Robin's swallows all coming alive in spring .
So go for a walk alone or with your closest once a day and see the world differently'nature has a way of making you happy.
The hustle and bustle of daily life has taken over us and the rat race has come to a halt for the first time since the early seventies.
Maybe nature is telling us something.
Keep safe everyone.

And the weather is absolutely beautiful too.

You may not have heard of his previous club but they are in their equivalent to the Premier league.

It does not matter if they come from foreign teams or from from closer to home there will always be some that will say, his stats are rubbish, i have not heard of his club, i have not heard of him, why are we not spending on big name players to get us promoted.

I do agree that the club should always only bring in a player that is better than they have, not just to make the numbers up.

IMO Yates could not get a better MF tutor than Chris Cohen ,could be the making of him.

Although i like Yates to a point, he needs to get better tackling and improve his technique. Cohen can not improve his technique.

24 Mar 2020 18:13:36
Yates will never be a technical player ,but he will be hard running all action and weigh in with goals and I think it’s an insult to Cohen to say he’d couldn't, help him get there !

What are you on about Carlo, where has it been said Cohen can not help him.

It was said Cohen can not help him technically, not help him at all.

I think it is a insult to our first team coaching staff that they are not good enough to improve him.

Every player should be able to improve technically whether or not they will ever be able to be great technically is another matter but Yates needs to better than he is in that department.

I think it is a insult to our first team coaching staff to say they are not good enough, if Cohen can do a better job then he should be part of the first team coaching staff, but he is not.

24 Mar 2020 20:48:47
Your missing the point cambridge what carlo is saying is that Cohen was the type of all action player so would be a good tutor for Yeats as he knows what it takes to fill that roll.
