I'm afraid I can't see the notion of 'punching above our weight' is appropriate for a club of our size - 28,000 attendance for a freezing Tuesday night? We should be going to tiny little set-ups and conurbations like; Brentford, Fulham, Wigan, Luton, Preston, etc. as you say Stevie f, and sweeping them aside and putting on an exhibition for their fans! We just haven't had a hard-nose manager with the right attitude and who quickly disregards players who are not up to it. I'm also disappointed but not in the least surprised that Watson didn't step up to the mark and deliver a game- controlling captains performance on Tuesday - possibly because he can't run, shoot, dribble and is conning everybody - his days are over at Championship level week in and week out. It's a pity also that Samedo hasn't been coached and developed properly by the club - he could have been hitting his peak now and helping us secure automatic promotion? I sincerely hope we go out with the right team, attitude, confidence and fitness levels tomorrow and wipe out that Charlton debacle and put W Brom and their small crowd in their place! COYR.

This isn’t going to be a popular opinion on here, but watched the shaggers against Bristol city the other night, i thought Rooney was superb in the middle of the park, picking quality forward passes, and quality dead ball delivery it’s no coincidence they have started scoring goals since he turned up, I laughed when I saw his 1st game for them, thought he looked finished I was wrong, Watson who has performed well, could only dream of that quality, happily though their defence is laughable! 😊.

You’re dead right Steve f not popular at all. Also comparing Watson to Rooney is like comparing apples with pears totally different.

Because a team has a history of success., and a good attendance for the league they are in it does not mean they are entitled to be successfull now.
We have either had a one owner who lost his nerve money wise when a manager got us in with a chance one January.
We had a owner who was so far up his own backside he could see his teeth without looking in the mirror.
We now have a owner who has taken on the task of trying to sort out the mess we have been left in, he could have splashed the cash in January by bringing in the likes Gayle, but that did not work for West Bromwich Albion did it.
He could have gone for proven Championship players but how many clubs would let them go in January.
Many proven players that we could attract are either at the end of their careers, have some history of bad injuries.

Berserker if you watched the game you would have seen Rooney played deeper piking up bits and pieces and starting the play a similar deeper roll to Watson so the comparison is relevant.

Berserker I dare say I’ll get over the unpopularity.

14 Feb 2020 20:53:00
Let’s not forget under the Radar he was a very good friend of the crap that owned us before.

14 Feb 2020 21:23:57
Problem is even with Rooney they lost and Bristol have been terrible at home for a while.

14 Feb 2020 21:36:51
Fff79 like I said happily their defence is a joke.

14 Feb 2020 22:20:21
I'd just like to say on the official attendance for Tuesday if you where there you would have seen all the empty seats?
Max there was 25k.
It's the same most weeks, fans buying child seats cheap and not using them, plus under 21 buying cheap and picking their games, I know a few.

14 Feb 2020 22:36:04
Ff you keep saying this mate, it’s the same at all clubs.

14 Feb 2020 22:49:44
Is it really though?
It just kids fans that don't or can't go that we are suddenly playing to packed houses when we arent.
Only two packed houses berby and Leeds the rest made up.

14 Feb 2020 22:54:45
Ff From where I was in A block it looked pretty full mate.

14 Feb 2020 23:19:47
It wasnt mate main stand loads of emtys, lower bc loads of emptys, upper bridgford loads of empty trent end loads of empty add that to only half if that of away fans then it doesn't add up as the most you will ever see in this ground is 28k?
It only holds 30k and because of policing is down to 28k plus 500.
I didn't even look behind me in bc upper but it was far easier to get a pint half time.

I do not remember it that way Skegsjay, i thought our current owner was being messed about about in negotiations to buy the club from him, he then walked away then came back and then went to court over what he found, but you did say was a very good friend though.
