His scoring ratio is crap. He will probably struggle to adapt to championship.

Let's be honest. If we don't go up this season. It's likely prem clubs will be sniffing round likes of cash worrell ect.
Nows the time to spend on real quality to get us promoted. The championship is there for the taking. Let's go for it
If we fail we would probably need to balance the books by letting cash go for big money. But we'd still have a very strong squad next season.

He plays across the front 3 apparently. What proven champ striker can we get for 1.5 million? If it was as simple as going for it and getting promoted we would be doing it.

Red prem clubs have already been sniffing around those players. So not quite sure what your getting at, even if we did get promoted they will be sniffing even more.

What top striker is going to come to us just to be back up to Grabban? This manager will not play 2 up front and no Forest fan can fault what Grabban has done this season, particularly considering the service he's had. I'd look to bring in a young lower league player that's happy to be a bit part player for now and spend the big money on a creative midfielder that creates chances and chips in with goals. I'm afraid Silva and Carvalho just aren't cutting it.

I remember all this talk when we got lolley, Antonio, Britt, bit like when many forest fans took the pee out of fester when they bought this unheard of called vardy from Fleetwood for just over a million, let them kick a ball first at least sometimes players just click in a squad or a manager can get the best out of them.

Even if SL went 2 up top grabban would not pass the ball. Maybe its the poor service to him but have you noticed when lewis gets the ball around the box he only passes as a last resort.
Thats why a no 10 in the mould of tomlin would be a better option, or as the op states a more robust, creative midfielder.
Or is SL going to change tact and bring in 2 strikers and two more crafty midfielders? Attack is the best form of defence and playing higher up the pitch and presssing teams would certainly share the burden!

Rutland. We should of signed Tomlin before. He had a good loan spell with us. Would of cost around 1/ 2m.
