Two managers i always thought would do well at forest. Pearson and monk.
The turn around at watford is pretty sensational. Reading testimonials from the players at watford about his man management qualities, attention to detail and inclusevness of all the staff has made a massjve impact. The one standout comment came from the keeper foster. " Before we had spanish coaches, now we have a manager in every sense of the word, who controls everything ".
The way our transfer debackle this window and constant revolving door of players every 6 months typifies a chaotic process behind the scenes. The fact we are being tenuously linked with every substitute striker picking up fat wages bears out a no real plan. Coach wants attackers, consortium wants midfielders. Say no more on that one. This is no critiscm of SL but just the failure in our owners to get a good football manager in, trust him, back him and take a back seat. SL is only a few defeats away from being replaced and that is why we are scrambling around. No one backed him early enough to get in his much needed attacking force.
Btw i think dropping carvalaho was fingers up to to the hirearchy, he inherited 13mil of averegeness, in a time of only one striker it was a bold message!

Bit dramatic my friend.
Last time I looked we weren't doing to bad in the league and every club that's in the premier and championship are saying it's a very hard window to get deals done.
Next season you'll all be moaning about how long the new stand is taking to build.
At least we aren't doing a derby and trying to bend the rules while throwing caution to the wind.
On monk he's on his fourth job in four years, it doesn't seem to last with him.

We are on our umteenth coach, manager, monk has had good reason to leave his clubs unlike ours. Nowt wrong with our position 79 but its only a grabban injury away from falling apart. To say i am moaning means you don't get the jyst of my words. Its shameful the smount of mercenaries and dross that have spun through our doors. We have a recent history of dreadful organisation and decisions. We could be on the brink of success but their seems no coherent plan to take the next step. Not bothered about the plans to build a better ground as much as getting a better attractive team on the pitch.

Rutland has a point.
Yes SL has done well but in occasion he has tactically got it wrong.
Monk and Pearson are doing well and would of being good assets here.
He's correct about how we go about transfers though.
Our recruitment staff seem obsessed with midfielders until SL raised his voice and says the team need another forward of which is blatantly obvious as we as fans have known this for months.
Question for all of you.
If we don't get promoted and i honestly think we won't with the lack of additional quality players i can see Marinakis pulling the again. what do you all think?

17 Jan 2020 09:31:41
Fff79 don’t you think selling our cast offs to olympiacos is bending the rules just a little bit?

17 Jan 2020 09:40:06
Rutland sl has done more than any of the coaches or managers previously.
It takes time to get a side together and performing on a regular basis, he has done this by getting a team spirit going and is 9nly three players short of us being top draw in this division.
We all know the dross that has been signed but would you prefer us to do a derby and signed players that will break ffp?
13 million a season is hard to stay within.
Monk has been sacked by Leeds, Birmingham and boro just for the record along with Swansea.
So what has he actually achieved to make him so special?

You’ve both got a point to be fair I think the picture for signings has improved a little this season in a success rate context.

Samba - good
Sow - good
Chema - good
Ribeiro- good
Semedo - undecided
Adomah - undecided
Ameobi- does a job
Bostock - not worked
Mir - not worked

In the past it’s been a much higher % of flops than it has been this season. I agree that it’s been unacceptable in the past.

Stevie it's not breaking the rules.
Derby overvalued the ground sale to their owner massively after spending millions on players to get to the premier, which is something we haven't done, we have balanced things by selling Osborn, appiah etc and they didn't go to olympiacos.
We signed more players from them than we have sent there.
Bouka soudani and dias have gone there, so hardly cooking the books.

Fff79 sorry mate, you must have mistaken the word bending for breaking.

What a load of tosh- your saying it as if Forest are the only club in this situation and every other club is run smoothly, just pick a player, sign him and get promotion when they want it 🤷🏻‍♂️.
