As well as the game in hand, dirty Leeds still got to come to the city ground,

Bielsa must be bricking it having watched our recent home games 🤔.

02 Jan 2020 20:16:19
It was about this time last season Leeds bricked it and went from storming the league to being in the play offs.

02 Jan 2020 20:32:38
Easy win for us 😁🍻.

02 Jan 2020 20:34:35
Depends on who we can bring in really, a couple of quality signings could make a huge difference,

02 Jan 2020 20:37:58
Fred just take a look at every championship game stats yesterday, only one side that had most possession won, brentford and against ten men.

02 Jan 2020 20:39:15
Well they aren't pulling up trees.
Only 1 win in 5
Conceded 11.

02 Jan 2020 20:49:15
Its doom and gloom fred again 🤪🤪🤪.

02 Jan 2020 21:20:35
I was actually being serious Ff so for you to think I wasn't you must think there's something about our home performances that would be worth joking about? 🤔😉.

02 Jan 2020 21:36:47
Well I enjoyed yesterday I saw two championship sides going to to r. toe with one having a class striker, I then watched WBA have 33% possession against Leeds at home in the southbank and it ended one one.
You are expecting too much after a coach comes in and .
A. after four months and gets us into the top six with a game in hand and only one striker to rely on.
Amazing job under the circumstances I'd say.

02 Jan 2020 21:44:20
Sos for the spelling as I've had a few saying goodbye to a loved one black tie and all, special lady to my special lady.

02 Jan 2020 22:31:50
Derby tonight won against a relegation side at home with just 45% possession it's a common occurrence in football it's how you use that possession that matters.

02 Jan 2020 23:28:52
When did you turn into stato and a maths expert Ff? 🤣
Just 45% possesion? That's only 5% less than the opposition and hardly a massive difference is it?
So basically possession was almost equal yet one team won and one team lost. Certainly a freak result that was and just goes to show anything can happen 🤣.

03 Jan 2020 07:29:46
It’s 10% Fred ;)

03 Jan 2020 08:52:53
I’ve been one of the biggest advocates of more entertainment at the city ground, but I’ve got to say I thought the Blackburn game was entertaining, 5 goals result in doubt to the end, lads have got to be careful not to mix up entertainment, with expecting us to batter every team 4amd 5 at home, got to say what I wouldn’t give to see a young tony woodcock alongside grabban, the team needs pace,

03 Jan 2020 09:04:04
It is 10% your right.
I took 5% for the refs touch of the ball when he got in the way and it hit him 🤣.

03 Jan 2020 09:31:21
Ok fred
Birmingham 57% lost
Fulham 72% lost
Huddersfield 53% lost
Preston 64% lost
Sheff weds 57% lost
Leeds 63% drew.
New years days stats so it does happen quite regularly.

03 Jan 2020 09:54:21
Of course it happens, that's football for you but the longer you keep the ball the less the opposition has it and so the less likely they are to score!
There will always be examples of smash and grab in any league but more often than not the team with the majority of possession will come out on top.

03 Jan 2020 10:11:42
How often under Warburton did we have the vast majority of possession but most of it in our own half. Keep ball is only any good if you are positive with it, treating a game like a practice session then you get games that we have won this season because we have been more positive with the ball than the other team when we do have it.

03 Jan 2020 10:20:58
I wouldn't say we had more possession than the opposition under the bread man.
A lot of sideways and backwards passing yes but not to the extent of bossing possession. It's easy to get the two confused.

03 Jan 2020 11:22:13
We generally had more possession in games with Warburton in charge, often at 60% or more. Mainly in our own half. Possession is great, unless it's your centre-halves passing between one another which was all too often the case with Warburton.

We are in the Championship, not the Champions League. In elite football possession is key, but we are not in an elite league. The Championship is rough and tumble and it's about fighting for opportunities and taking them. Intricate one-twos and Barca-esque ball retention are more than a luxury at this level, very few teams achieve it and when they do it's not exactly Pep's Barcelona is it? It's a less talented version. It's even more difficult to produce this 'champagne football' with a new manager and a lot of new players. That kind of chemistry and understanding takes time and needs to be indoctrinated throughout the whole club at all levels like they do at Barcelona (or Swansea and Brentford lol) . I'd love Forest to introduce this brand of football in the long term and incorporate it throughout all levels of the club, but for now, can we just enjoy being 4th? Whether we play like 80's Wimbledon or Pep's Barcelona, I'd just like the points please. I'd take boring 1-0's all season if it meant getting out of this division because it never get's any easier.

Great post wonky 👍👍👍.

03 Jan 2020 13:39:36
There's just no talking to some Ps4 managers 🙄😁😂😂.

03 Jan 2020 15:28:31
Just to add a bit of positivity, we do tend to perform better and get good results against the stronger sides. Probably because of the way we set up, to be disciplined, maybe a tad deep, but we counter well and can be hard to break down. We seem to suit this strategy better than when we have to take the initiative at home, we seem comfortable on the back foot looking for the counter.

Maybe this kind of football, and this ability to thwart the stronger sides, will see us do well in the Play-Offs? Here's hoping.
