You bang on about how great SL is doing with having to play a system with just one striker. Do you not realise that lamouchi chose to get rid of our strike force and replace it with one unproven dud in mir. Did not give walker a chance and farmed out for the season, got rid of murphy who though laboured would have suited this style of play. We could have played effective hoofball with murphy rather than the utter garbage being served at home thus far. The fact he won't play mir shows that no one watched this player before bringing him in. Clough not given a chance and we are now being linked with another murphy type player. Sorry but all supporters have a moan on the terraces and in the pubs so here is no different. The club have wasted time and money on the 3 amigo's and the flair and opportunities just are not there hence the turgid home performances.
Wigan had a 17 yr old rip us apart with classy strong attacking drive. We have not one player with that ability in this squad. don't say Lolley as he is a one trick pony found out and his trick nullified by teams doing their homework. Harsh? No just the truth. Happy with the placement going into the window? Yes.
Is this league strong this season? No its there for the taking. The clueless performances at home need addressing very soon or Lamouchi himself will be regarded as a one trick pony relying on a negative away type of containment soccer and not having the tools to play expansive imaginative attractive football.
For the record, I kind of like Lamouchi as he seems focused and driven and has had moments where he has galvanised. He needs to be definitive and unwavering in this window and deliver what he promised recently, A BETTER MORE ATRRACTIVE brand of football.

this time last season he'd lost the plot and hadn't put two wins together all season and we were nose diving down the league now we are in the top six with a game in hand and have lost less games than everyone up there barring Leeds and WBA
Lamouchi 48% win rate after 4 months
Karanka 28% after a year and three windows, so rutland you are wrong as Lamouchi doesn't pick the signings he just coaches them hence his title, head coach.

Bravo Rutland and Stevie f. I think all 3 of us are saying the same thing. Lamouchi is a good coach but is it to much to ask to be entertaining. I will never agree with one striker, the whole game is about scoring goals and history shows that's what gets you promoted. The facts are we are crap and boring to watch with this endless 7 defensive players the first names on team sheet at home. I'm sure we've got academy players with the same mind set and talent of the Wigan kid.

Agree with Ff79 here. The opening post is almost totally devoid of any understanding and seems a bit of a drunken rant. Win our game in hand we're the best team outside of the runaway two. We've not been brilliant but we hang in for some results, results that have often gone the other way in recent years. It's a tough league so to say there's no strength in the division is bizarre. It's always a tough league, every year. Just enjoy the bumpy ride, it's more exciting than it's been for a good while. Looking forward to the run in, play-offs are a strong possibilty 👍.

Sswe by definition if everyone can beat each other, then the league lacks real quality, it can be ultra competitive, which it is, but lack quality which it does.
