It shows that when we haven't got two holding midfielders we aren't as effective with Lamouchi style he had no option but to change it and we had the most possession in a game all season.
Worrying thing for me is lolley his last ball and decision making are very poor.

Against big tall blokes we need two Midfield defenders and let Silva be up front more. Need either Sow or Yates in there to help Watson who today was left with everything to do.

Not really sure where your both coming from with the 2 holding midfielders thing 🤔.
We weren't exactly being overrun or physically exposed in midfield today were we?
It was a lack of creativity we lacked today and lack when chasing a game.

That's what you don't understand fred we are geared up to play two holding midfielders and break up play and then counter attack with pace.
While you can't see it that's how we play and when sow or Yeats aren't available we have a problem.

Yeah but that's what I've been getting at today but you don't seem to get it!
It's ok having 2 holding midfielders and playing counter attacking football when its 0-0 or your winning but it don't work when we're losing hence we don't get back into games. 2 holding midfielders wouldn't have made one iota of difference today.

We didn't have two holding midfielders today that's why we went a goal down.
Lots of sides play like us today with all the possession but unless you have the players to execute that plan then it ends in failure.
We have one striker that Lamouchi can choose, we have a magnificent defence where he's spoilt for choice and still has injuries, he has a midfield that has quality but lolley is out of form adhoma too cavs is struggling as well and Silva won't score and his dead ball deliveries are poor, but you can't fault their commitment every player gives everything.

On the other side fans moan about your lack of chances and shots at goal. we managed 32 yesterday not many on target but lots being bloked. wouldn't of had all those attempts with Yates in the team today.
Just one of those days where a team wants to be craphouses.

But we didn't have 2dm's on wednesday and killed it. Midfield wasnt the problem today, we just lacked quality in the final third in regards to shots, crosses and decision making. We also looked a bit lethargic on the break. Agree that we need a different option when teams park the bus. Carvalho should be the creative difference in games like that but just doesn't seem to be good enough which i really didn't want to have to say.
