So McGinn quoted in the press as saying he turned down 5 times more money than he was on at Hibs to join forest.
Apparently he said he would wait till he could join a GOOD club. Mmmmm. We'll see my friend. We we probably pass you on the way up this year.

Agree1 Disagree0

To be fair balloons, that is not literally what he is saying and dismissing Forest in that way.

He is just when it happens he hopes it to be a good club, Hibs turned down the deal, not him.

Shame we didn't get him though, top player.

Probably read it wrong ginger. But Yes would have liked him great player. Not much comes out of Scotland these days sadly. There was a time when to have a great team you needed a couple of good Scots in it. Robertson, Burns, Souness, Hanson, Law, Dalglish etc ect.

Who did Law pair up with, non of the above mate.

19 Nov 2019 10:52:47
Yeah, must be so frustrating to be a Scottish fan these days, they used to have some cracking players.

Law was in the same United side as David Herd and Pat Crerand.

All won major honours in that side.

Spot on SSWE was going to reply to 1951 and his sarcastic reply with the same players. But why bother. 👍.

I wonder how tommy gemmell would have fared under clough, he came here at a bad time for us, I think he was the type of attacking full back, a bit like viv, who Brian would have got the best out of,
