On social media a Forest fan responded to Everton wanting Matthew Cash for £12m by saying Adam Webster went for £25m therefore the club should ask for that, is that realistic, if so i would sell him I'm sure we could get a good replacement and a good striker for that amount.

Get rid of one of our best proven players no thanks we need to keep our best players come January add more quality players without having to sell our best players if we're going to be serious contenders we still have plenty of rubbish to get off the wage bill so let's get rid of them.

Thing is we as fans have no say and ffp sort of dictates whether he goes or not. £12 million with a loan back (cash has the mentality to still give 100%) and we could add a few that we need to push on whilst still keeping our beat right back.
Nobody wants to see them go.

I think for £25m we could get a player that is equal to, if not better than Cash, as well as a quality striker. In a ideal world we would be able to keep him as well as get all the players we need to improve the team, sadly i think that is not possible unless you have a fan base of at least 60,000.

In my opinion if you’re in contention in January the last thing you do is weaken the squad no matter who you think you could sign. Last season Cash was an average champ wide midfielder, now he is team of the week regular at right back so why would you sell?

Skegs not sure selling Carvalho would free up some cash, my understanding is that we paid the transfer fee over 5 years so we've still got 3 and a half years left to pay @ 3m euro's a year so we've probably got around 10.5 million euros still owing, its staggering stats that if Carvalho is probably on around 10,000 euros a week in wages that over a 5 year period is around 2.5 million euros in wages add that to the 15 million euros transfer fee equates to 17.5 million euro spend, so break that down to a monthly cost of around 300,000 euros a month for 5 years, so is there anyone on here who doesn't think Mendes had our pants down.

Perks what if cash says he wants to leave if a prem lib comes in? how do we know it’s not in his contract? many many variables that could effect wheather we sell or not.
Regarding selling a player to our owners other club the fl would most probably stop that because it’s us that is doing it. we don’t have the golden hand skake that Mel has with the fl.

I can't believe fans are already talking about getting rid of our best players give it a rest and let's enjoy where we are with the team of cause cash would be sold if a 25 million offer came in but as good as he his 25 million won't be offered so let's get over it perks is right January you keep your best players and add quality if you have any chance of getting promoted.

Totally agree skeggs and can't see the owners accepting any bids as they balanced the books with the sale of appiah.
The one player I think will attract a very big bid come the summer is Brice Samba as the boy has it all as a goalkeeper and if we don't get promoted then I can't see us keeping hold of him, distribution is first class and so is his command of the area, he's far better than most premier goalkeepers and will be in the championship team of the season along with cash.

BBM, if Cash wanted to leave then we have problems and I would reluctantly take the money. WTW, if we are in the mix for automatic come new year I don’t see the club rushing to sell any player even at silly money. Those same clubs will more than likely still be interested in the summer.
