Following on from the discussion re team selection lastnight. Making a fist of it is the minimum when you get a big cuptie like Arsenal. I understand friday is looming but not playing players for fear if injury is a cop out. Players get injured on their days off, like pearce did when chasing his missuses horse. Our players get injured during matchday warm up so protecting players is futile. Muric is sh#te and his inabilities permiate through the whole team. Its unbelievabke that we have only one striker in Grabban, who i doubt is fit anyway. Asking this team and manager to get promoted with only one striker is laughable. Grabban is not a versatile striker suited to Lamouchi's methods anyway, as demonstrated again against Barnsley, only one shot on target!
Our recent insurgence has been admireable but without a threat of goals it could change in a flash.
Bear in mind the players had a fortnight off so fitness should not be an issue. Momentum is hard to build but easy to erode. I hope lastnight fiasco has no legacy as we are looking promising again in the league and Lamouchi is having a very positive influence and effect. Just not sure if dithering with one up top who is not suited to it can be sustainable in the push for promotion. Waiting until Jan could be foolish.

Last night has to be put down as bad decision making from Lamouchi, but the rest of your arguments don't add up, if you were at Swansea and Barnsley game you wouldn't be criticising anyone player in the side and Swansea in particular grabban would have made you eat your words, he was superb,
We do need another striker but more from a point of having back up for grabban not to replace him, where do you get another 20 goal striker from that wants championship football?
All the players look fitter this season including grabban so no idea why your questioning his fitness?
Anyway enjoy watching Friday night and see the real forest and collecting another three points.
I was as dissapointed as anyone last night with the team and its football and a shocking 5 hour journey home, by the way a special shootout to highways England for turning the M1 into a car park, but enjoyed the experience of visiting the Emirates and a few beers with the lads.

Ff i agree with much of what you say. But Lewis is best at picking up knock downs wnd through balls in the box, he is not a target man, which would suit better the Lamouchi style. Not moaning at the effort as the morale in the squad is furst class. Just feel our offensive departmentvis very limited. Anyway you go week in week out so bow to your more informed knowledge. Red always.

It's not about protecting against injury, Rutland, it's about keeping players fresh for the games that matter. Especially players like Grabban who have a history of injuries and needs to be looked after and nursed through the season. Why make him play three 90mins in the space of 6-days? That would be madness. He was quite rightly rested.

Grabban isn't being played as a hold up striker Lamouchi has every player looking to break with pace when we get the ball not try to play everything through grabban, the wingers and full backs are the key to the way we play, just need some sort of consistency from the wingers as they've all been a bit hit and miss but at least he has enough to rotate them.
Getting lolley firing again would be the biggest plus and I'm sure it will come as we had this last season with him and karanka dropping him to the bench.

FF, in Highways England’s defence there is a genuine attempt to do the most disruptive work at night, our roads are far to busy and our transport infrastructure is very inadequate due to decades of failure by the DFT.

It is however unacceptable that there wasn’t a coordinated approach between various parties to postpone or delay last nights works on the M1. I know for sure that if Highways England are informed by event organiser that the event will generate a spike in traffic between certain times they will delay or postpone works to accommodate the road user. The only know what they know mate. Like everything that is bad with this country plenty of people could give the right information to the right people to minimise impact on masses - sadly lacking all too often.

What made it worst was the A1 being the same w got down to stevenage in 2 hours and train straight in, got train straight back and left stevenage making great time then you meet the M1 they have no defence in my book 2 star not enough information from them and these smart motorways are more dangerous than the ones they replaced only have to look at junction 24 A accidents every day on that part of the M1.

You should raise your complaints with them mate, it might just make them engage better with more people .
BTW traffic England publicises all roadworks well In advance, any road user can access the information and coach companies are failing customers if they don’t utilise it to gain information on how journeys might be affected .

2 star I can't be bothered to complain about anything run by government as it's a waste of time .
Politicians can't even vote alongside their constituents that voted them in, so save my breath and ink.

Well I'm really pleased that the Forest computer said NO when I tried to buy a ticket and the coach option listening to all the grumbles!

Very disappointed with the naivety of the midfield set up in front of an untried back 5 and falling away at the end to record a 5-0. A game made for Bostock returning home to London?

The upside in this crazy football world is that having played Mighten and Gabriel against the " Mighty Arsenal" is that their transfer value has gone up £10m!

Every cloud has a silver lining as they say?

Stoke are due a win so the boys better be really fired up on Friday and put Nathan Jones out of a job by returning us a big win!

Onward and Upward

COYR's.

You’re right FF but you never know, the police and Highways England might start to communicate better with each other around such events . The police will have been aware if the spike in traffic as they will have been informed by Arsenal how many fans were travelling. Measures could be put in place to delay roadworks and get the masses through . Poor planning and communication.

The coach company are equally at fault, the information. Is available to them to help them plan their routes, the could have gone up the A1 back to Nottm and avoided the M1 altogether .
