So far apart from a few individual performances I see very little to make me believe we are any better than last season. Lack of firepower a huge issue which for me isn't get sorted anytime soon. If we don't pick up a win in the league this week then I can only see heads dropping quickly. Don't want to be negative but for Lamouchi needs to be stamping his ideas and get them working. If what the past 3 games have shown is his style then a season of mediocrity beckons and another potential management change. I'm sure I'll get slated for this post but it's just my opinion.

Agree5 Disagree0

I’ll take mediocrity if it means we keep a manager for longer than 6 months. We’ve been a basket case for years and I’ve lost count the amount of styles we’ve tried to commit to. Need to give this man a chance and fans should back him.

Redtree l think our new coach knows what he’s doing
He’s been handed a poor deck of cards cover galore in all positions apart from one position A STRIKER
Like last few years can’t see where the goals are coming from.

14 Aug 2019 17:12:44
I think there are definite signs of improvement and a totally different attack based approach. How effective it will be we wait to see.

14 Aug 2019 17:29:42
I think we have seen already that the cutting edge is not there. We have loads of options but not upfront where we need it most.

14 Aug 2019 18:19:59
Early days but the first 3 games have given little indication of any real attacking threat. Don't care who we have up front as they will just be fighting against 2 centre half's and feeding off scraps. A win is a win though and let's hope for another on Saturday, hopefully with an improved performance.

14 Aug 2019 18:20:14
I can see improvements too. Hope those above the manager are learning from mistakes too. Even though we’ve lost Colback I think once all our midfielders are settled it will be an improvement on last season.

14 Aug 2019 18:46:01
Redtree you can settle all you like for mediocrity, my guess is the owner won’t, if we are not in and around the top 6 by Christmas or probably sooner, this manager will be gone, and as long as this owner has the club that will be a recurring theme, I don’t believe this squad capable of a promotion push this or any other sadly, the only people anywhere near the squad with any pace are raw untried kids, looks like we are obliged to play a novice keeper, and frequently get embarrassed for pace at the back semedo looks a player, sow looks ok but is a card waiting to happen, any failure to challenge won’t be the fault of the coach, but of the dof/ owner who doesn’t appear to appreciate how hard this league is,

14 Aug 2019 19:09:46
No need to worry like del boy said. this time next year lol we will be saying the same old crap.

14 Aug 2019 19:38:19
Redtree SL is picking a back four with zero pace, a goalie who is an absolute trialist. He has not pushed the boat out and demanded a decent couple of strikers. If you want to back a manager for 6 months+ who thinks like this then good luck. I like a lot of Lamouchi says but reality is we are, which was evident again last night, suspect to balls over the top and through the middle.

14 Aug 2019 19:39:40
Colback and Benaloaune were cards waiting to happen Stevie f.

14 Aug 2019 19:45:50
Gm2d so your point is?

14 Aug 2019 20:18:05
Some Forest fans really take the biscuit, the manager does not know what he is doing, after two whole league games we can't play like Man City. What next get rid of him because he dosent wear the right colour socks? . After years of utter rubbish any manager will need time to build a team, these fans should remember Fergie was only one
game from the sack at Man utd and look what he went on to do . There is a saying about rushing things, all it gets you is a belly full of ulcers and a house full of kids . It may take a season to get the team playing as he wants, at least give him that long . We may as well have a revolving door in the managers office if things continue.

14 Aug 2019 21:01:25
Veritas I think your missing the point, it’s not the fans who will get rid of him but the owner, he is less patient than any fan,

14 Aug 2019 22:03:57
No but we’ve every right to ask why we’ve turned the club upside down for no gain. No issue with change if it’s change for the better. Performances so far are no where near good enough . If it’s ‘going to take time ‘ then it wasn’t the right move.

14 Aug 2019 22:41:32
Passionate post veritas. You may be about to wrestle the crown away from Red balloons!

15 Aug 2019 06:07:28
Veritas, the owner won’t give him a season to get it right, he’s been brought in to immediately make us better than we were, the point people are making is that we are no better, there is no improvement and if we are poorer than last season in the next few weeks he will be gone .

15 Aug 2019 11:23:50
As Veritas said 2 games in with new players and then people saying no improvement on last year and yet it's the owner who has less patience than the fans!

To be slating them after a couple of games is a bit much, how can the owner be expected to be patient when a lot of our fans don't even show a modicum of it.

15 Aug 2019 12:05:19
Ginger let me just remind you its the owner that keeps promising the fans big things and return to the premiership and he's the one sacking the managers as there not getting us any where near the top 6 he his the one saying all this getting the fans hopes up its that simple and to be honest you look at the teams around you how they have invested and strenghened there teams with a few quality players and teams like luton that have came up with a team that's stuck together over a few seasins and then us 8-9 new players every season unknown players that have not ever played in England and we look like a average mid table if lucky team now if he was to keep the best 11 keep the manager for another season add a bit of quality next season then we might have a chance next season but this season you can forget top 10 simples.

15 Aug 2019 13:17:01
Point still missed, we had made some progress last season so unless you are creating a better situation why change. Saying it’s only two games in and it’s going to take time only makes the point stronger.

15 Aug 2019 14:39:35
Seem to remember 1or 2 on here calling for patience, who were on O’Neill’s back after about 3 games calling him a dinosaur.

15 Aug 2019 15:12:05
It's the same with every manager we have had, if they pick players they don't like or style they don't like they want them gone just as soon as the vacancy sign has been taken down.

15 Aug 2019 15:38:18
Remember that about warbuton who was supposed to been given time to lol.

15 Aug 2019 20:47:40
Think we are all desperate for the club to reach the B. C heights . I remember after the Storey-moore, Joe Baker team split the long wait for success to re appear and it did with B. C . I also remember during his fist season some fans saying he was not right for the club and we should get rid . Our problem is after being the best team in europe we are now in a lull and the longer it lasts the more impatient we become because we feel we are better than this. A bad result and our frustration is eased by slating the players or manager straight after the game, i know i do it myself but then a day or so later i take the positives out of the game and again look forward to the next match . Look at Villa last season , started slow Grealish comes back in the team and up they go . The most expensive watch in the world is only as good as a couple of quid spring, one mediocre player may make the difference to us so support all the team this weekend . COYR.

15 Aug 2019 21:41:19
Veritas I think everyone on here does support the team, I wanted both karanka and then O’Neill to be allowed to get on with the job but it wasn’t to be, the owner sacks managers not so called impatient fans, who will fill the ground on Saturday again, despite watching some pretty awful stuff for most of the last 20 years, so if you need to blame somebody for the mess we are in look at the decision makers over the years not the loyal paying customers mate.

15 Aug 2019 23:51:22
Would never blame any fan for having an opinion Stevie, anyone who pays to be entertained has the right to show their displeasure if they feel they are not getting value for money . It is not the fans who pick the team or the manager, we just pay their wages .
