But he does have a point! He had a lot of clean sheets last year and its in the new lads contract i believe that he plays. What if Muric starts playing badly. Can we drop him?

RiB, The man with the Pants is use to being number 2, sometimes number 3, and 4.
Yes it is good he had i think 15 clean sheets, but his distribution was rubbish, he lost us 10-15 points with what can only be called school boy errors.
I think no player should be guaranteed game time, only their form should do that.

Lc how did you manage to calculate that he cost us that many points? what about the saves he made that kept us a win or a draw?

BBM, I pointing out that after watching a lot of games he lost us about 10-15 points.
Those points were lost through what were school boy errors which for me is inexcusable.
Yes he saved us some points but my main observation was there is better out there that we could get in, why should Sabri not give Muric a chance to prove he can do better.
I also pointed out only someones form should guarantee game time, perhaps Muric has done better in training than Pants.

LC Really? There are 10 players in front of the keeper whose job it is to stop a goal!
It's called collective responsibility!
He might not be the best in the league but he is better than most and some of the keepers we have had in recent years!

Really RIE, I never would have guessed that sport that has 11 players on the pitch at any one time for each team meant there are 10 players in front of the goalkeeper baring any players have been sent off.
In most games one or both teams eventually get the ball to such a extent that a shot is either kicked or headed towards the oppositions goal, unless they are cheating so and so's.
When that happens the goalkeeper then gets paid something about it, the more experienced a goalkeeper is the less errors he should make, and when those errors happen they should not be so basic on such a regular basis as Pants does.
He does have times that he looks true quality but, as you say he certainly not the worse goalkeeper we have had.
At the end of the day if the club feels Muric deserves a chance to stake a claim to be the first choice based on training, or even from what they have been advised by people they trust then why should Pants be guaranteed the number one spot.
