Why is it most of the time when we sell players it's for peanuts 3 million for Osborne Sheffield United must be over the moon with that and then when we buy players we pay way over the odds I mean not this season there all freebies lol 3.million is nothing.

I totally agree with you Skegsjay. When we put a bid in we tend to be prepared to double it if it's rejected first time. Patience is the game and Sheff Utd have proven it works as they appear not to have increased their initial fee by much at all. That's why our debt has grown so much over the years.

Are you a closet Sheep supporter or too P***ed on stella Skegsjay because all you seem to do is moan about the mighty reds. I'm sure you've read we turned down a bid of 3.5m for Osborne and holding out for around 4.5m - 5m which is a good price for someone who is in his last year of his contract. I don't blame him for going to a team who IS in the premiership.

When you consider Tiago Silva joined us for circa 1.5 million (reportedly), 3 million plus for a player with a year left on his contract is a decent deal for all parties IMO.

I think £3m is a fair price for Osborn, considering his limitations and length of time remaining on his contract. I'd imagine Forest need the cash too, to make a move for another player or two.
I'm ok with Osborn leaving and ok with the fee. We always sell for "peanuts"? Well, we got a great price for Burke, Assombalonga and Brereton. Antonio could've been more in hindsight, but all told they're some decent fees we've received. Moaners will always moan though, if it's in their nature to look for the negative and not the positive.

I'm a Forest fan through and through as well my first game was Forest vs Ajax 1980 when I was 10 years old and came up from Bath where I lived. So I was not "picking" on skegs at all it just surprises me why he always moans about the reds when he's such a loyal supporter. I wouldn't want to pay £3m for Osborn, even if he had 11-years left on his contract let alone 11-months. He's a decent Championship-level players, that's it and I imagine that's all he'll ever be. You can pick up a 'decent Championship-level player' on a free if you're shrewd.
I'm no Osborn hater, he's always put in a shift and it's good to get lads coming through the academy, but his time at Forest is over. We haven't lost a Ronaldo and with 11-months left on his deal the fee is decent. It's a good deal for all involved, in my opinion.
