Geddy makes the Afcon team of the tournament. Given the choice of keeping 2 out of Watson, Geddy and Jacob, who say ye? 😊.

Agree2 Disagree0

21 Jul 2019 21:08:57
What does that say about the other players in the tournament, what does it say about the Forest players he was not guaranteed to play last season.

21 Jul 2019 21:38:01
Gm2d yep mugs like salah, mane, zaha, zlyech, pepe, koulibaly, Kodija, the ayew brothers and mahrez, none of which of course would get near the forest team, lol geddy can play and should be here next season.

21 Jul 2019 21:49:52
Good time to sell Gueds and get someone younger.

21 Jul 2019 22:58:35
Lol redtree been there done that look where we still are keep geddy get rid of carvahallo 😁.

22 Jul 2019 01:14:02
Wow Geddy is better than all those supper stars, we better sell him then with the £200m we really could get proven quality in a lot of positions Stevie f.

Sell, sell, sell, sell, I say, sell, sell, sell.

22 Jul 2019 08:04:33
Gm2d lol didn’t exactly say that mate did I? Just saying to be named in the team of the tournament that was the sort of company he performed amongst, so maybe he should be capable of doing a job in the championship,

22 Jul 2019 10:44:36
Stevie f I was having a bit of fun.

After all, all I was saying was as Geddy was not guaranteed first team football with Forest other players could not have had a great tournament. Geddy can play, but he tends to be sloppy with his passes very ofte.

22 Jul 2019 11:01:45
GM2d I missed the ‘lol ‘on the end of my 1st line mate 😊.

22 Jul 2019 11:08:20
Gm2d I appreciate that geddy gives the ball away now and again, but so does carvallho, but when jc does it all his fans tell us it’s because he’s to good for the players, around him, when geddy does it, they tell me he’s past it, I thought geddys performance against West Brom in the opening game of last season, was the best midfield performance of the season,

22 Jul 2019 12:28:58
You can't compare Carvs and Gueddy. One is a prospect with undenial talent and plays further up the pitch. In a more pressurised role. Whereas Gueddy is in the twilight of his career playing in a deeper role. If the money is good I think we should sell. Its not often you get offered money for a player who is 33+. With all that being said he would fit perfect in the Watson role if he could stay consistent. Big if!

22 Jul 2019 12:47:07
Redtree wasn’t comparing the players, was comparing the reaction to their misplaced passes if you read the post properly,

22 Jul 2019 13:44:59
Stevie f, Geddy and JC do split opinion, but Redtree does have a point, with JC he is at a age where he is still finding his feet so to speak. Geddy is at a age where his stray passes are only going to become more regular.

Geddy is also at a age where you have to be thinking about replacing him for someone younger that will hopefully be better, if not get better within a year or so.

Carvalho is a player that needs to toughen up and improve with each season be plays, but time is on his side.

22 Jul 2019 13:58:20
Yes but forest fans can put into context the difference between Gueddy and Carvs. that's is why there is a different reaction. Something you have failed to do.

22 Jul 2019 14:02:08
Lc I don’t doubt jc has good technical ability, but this is not a teenager we’re talking about he’s 23 next birthday? if he doesn’t toughen up this league will eat him up and spit him out like no other in the world, you seem a sensible bloke and should know that, guedds biggest problem in anchoring midfield is his total lack of pace, once someone goes by him he generally ain’t catching them,

22 Jul 2019 14:19:16
Redtree a lot of the Jc hero worshippers like yourself seem to be pinning there hopes on the fact that he cost 13mill so he must eventually come good, if you think I am the only one with a question mark over Jc as you seem to intimate then I believe you are sadly mistaken, I don’t doubt the kids ability, I doubt his valuation, mason mount made much more of an impact for the shaggers than Jc did for us last year.

22 Jul 2019 15:16:48
What are you on about Stevie? I think you're losing it pal. You have gone totally off point. I have seen enough class in Carvs to rate him with my own two eyes. The 13 million is irrelevant to me. Which we have only paid 5 million to date.

What has Mason Mount got to do with anything? He is a premier league player. If you wanted to get him he would be more than double the cost of Carvs.

22 Jul 2019 15:49:37
Im a big fan of JC but its interesting to think he's pretty much the same age as Worrall, particularly when you look at fans opinions of them both. Makes me wonder whether the excitement of JC was born out of the 13mil spent and topped up with confirmation bias over the season.

22 Jul 2019 16:05:28
Redtree it’s disappointing you can’t work out a pretty simple argument, anyone would think you were the only one who has seen Jc play! my point with mount is a young player can make a big impact if he is good enough, so maybe rather than paying out 13 mill for so called potential, we would have been better off putting our money into a real quality loan, you only need 1good season to get out this division, or perhaps were better off waiting for Jc to fulfil his potential, by the way, remind me how many times mount played for Chelsea in the prem before he joined the sheep I forget.

22 Jul 2019 16:11:59
Forestgirl I think you are spot on.

22 Jul 2019 16:29:42
Okay then Stevie realistically who do we get on loan who will get us out of the championship? If its that simple why wouldn't we just do that? You keep saying its 13 million but its actually 13 million over 5 years. As a club I don't think we are in a position to pay 13 million straight up for anyone. doesn't matter how many times he's played for Chelsea he's a Prem player.

22 Jul 2019 16:30:00
Stevie f redtree knows everything lol its like banging your head against a brick wall mate 🤕🤣.

22 Jul 2019 16:46:24
Redtree I don’t know who we should get in on loan, that is the job of. the manager and dof, don’t care how many years this fee is over we are still committed to paying it, if he turns out to be worth half of it there will be a shortfall, and I guess the reason you think it’s irrelevent how many appearances mount made for Chelsea in the premier is that it’s a nice round figure zero, seems in your world merely being on the books of a prem club makes a player prem class, and I have never said finding quality is simple,

22 Jul 2019 17:05:49
skegs banging your head against a wall might knock some sense into you. Stevie you hit the nail on the head the manager doesn’t care about the cost, so stop using it as a way of attacking Carvs. Also it’s funny you’re now down playing mounts ability after saying he’s a level above the championship 😂 make your mind up!

22 Jul 2019 17:17:54
Redtree please point out anywhere I said mount was a level above the championship,? once again if you read my post properly I said he made a bigger impact for the shaggers than carvallho made for us, and if you read my posts properly and don’t put words in my mouth, I have not attacked carvallhos ability I have attacked his valuation, and think we could have used 13 mill a lot more prudently,

22 Jul 2019 17:19:02
Geddy needs to come back and back up his cup winning billing.
He has never held down a regular place at any of his clubs so now its time to deliver for the club he says he loves and drive us to promotion.

Not watched any of the ACN games but he should be able to do a job sitting deeper in front of the back four rather than box to box?

22 Jul 2019 18:18:18
No matter who was responsible for asking the super agent to bring in JC for £13m, Dias, and Goncalves on loan with a view to buy they were all brought in in the belief they would minimum get us into the top six.

It does not matter if you buy, loan, or get in on a free, it does not even matter which country a player comes from they are a gamble.

JC turned out to be a player with potential rather than nearly finished player, young players that Premier league clubs are willing to send out on loan do not guarantee they will make good Championship players.

If the formula to get promoted were easy we would have been promoted years ago.

I believe that our record with employing managers has put some managers off, and those that are willing to join only see us a quick money fix and not as a club they could, or will be successful with.

The only time we will get promoted is if we get someone that takes over that gets lucky, or once the clubs hierarchy finally realise they need to set out a ethos, stick with with the manager, or head coach, bring in the players that suit the clubs ethos, and be patient.

It has been said the £13m price tag blinds some people to JC's ability, but there again whether or not any player is worth what they cost, we all should expect our record signing to be ready to hit the ground running, but once that does not come about we need to judge does it seem likely that he will make the grade.

When it comes to that sort of thing people will always have strong and differing views, and will never agree untill either the club gets rid, or he finally manages to make the grade.

I just hope Sabri gets lucky, goodness knows our club is overdue some.

22 Jul 2019 18:40:10
So we’ve established Carvs is Carp. Would anyone take him home to meet their mum? He seems very polite and caring .

22 Jul 2019 18:44:40
Perhaps that is his trouble 2star, he is too polite and caring. 😁.

22 Jul 2019 20:45:13
Agree JC can make you bang your head in frustration when he does not do the simple things right but then he does something that makes you think what a great player. I am reserving judgement till later this season . He has now had a full season in the league and will know that he cannot dwell on the ball and must move it quickly. I hope his skill shows through because one thing he ain't is a bad player he just needs to realise he's a good one.

22 Jul 2019 23:08:50
Some of you don't see skill if it bites you and look for a scapegoat when things aren't going well.
He needed players around him to play the one twos and keep moving but we were always static with two holding midfielders and a striker that count be bothered unless a ball was in the six yard box.

22 Jul 2019 23:28:07
Wow, I only wanted fans to pick Geddy and Yacob. The debate being, is Watson just a stop gap with Yates injured and Geddy away? Or does Lamouchi really rate him and he will be a Captain, regularly? If we're going to be more attacking, that holding role is crucial. I have my doubts that Watson could do it for a season and would prefer Yacob/ Geddy and Yates rotating there.

23 Jul 2019 01:11:05
Bang on 79 regarding JC.

23 Jul 2019 04:32:48
Personally I think Geddy should be given a chance to play the position Watson played on Friday night if that's the formation we're going to play in the league. Deep, looking to pass out to the wing backs, or connect play across the middle, occasionally getting up to the edge of the box. Geddy loves Forest and after his AFCON success he should be given a chance to show he can do it for us consistently this season. Him, Yates, Jacob. I rate Watson actually but I do prefer the others when push comes to shove.

23 Jul 2019 07:53:27
You rate Watson?
Is that because he's got two table legs? 🤣🤣🤣🤣.

23 Jul 2019 10:19:13
Fff79 I have never said in any post Jc hasn’t got skill, my doubt is whether he has 13mill pounds worth of skill, and if as you intimate he is too good for the players around him, why spend that sort of money unless you can spend another 20 mill plus to make best use of him, any player will look better with better players around him, ie geddy in Afcon.
