Have just seen Marinakis interview. His determination and commitment to our success is palpable!

Thought the same.

He clearly knows what he's doing and he's got a great record for success. It comes down to the players on the pitch at the end of the day though, and for me, we're still 3 or 4 quality players away from being serious promotion contenders.

Totally agree with you GazzaRed but trouble is what we might think are quality players the manager might not. Not everyone will be on the same page with this unfortunatly. But going bck to the interview I thought he is a very passionate man with only good intentions for NF and if he's willing to keep ploughing money into NF us as supporters need to back him. Obviously us supporters will not always agree on whos been bought or sold we just got to hope its the missing piece of the puzzle. My personal view on things are its not only what money is spent on a player its the money spent in the background like bringing the womans team forward and putting sport on in schools and other things. I for one really believe we have the best owner we've had for years.

There's no doubt about his commitment and determination sgetty and even his experience of running a great team in Greece but this is a whole different ball game in the championship and bringing in lightweight foreign players ain't going to cut it in this league especially free ones.

You won't get into the Premiership by chopping and changing managers every 6 months, and if you do get there you desperately need continuity - look how many clubs flop once they go up. M is as flighty as Fawaz, and just as clueless.

From the interview he’s putting people behind the scenes to have continuity. So when a new head coach comes in it won’t be that much of a change. Similar to Watford, Chelsea etc.

I think the owner has the best of intentions unfortunately for him we are stuck in probably the most competitive league in the world to be successful in, and many clubs have ambitious owners throwing millions at it, plus these parachute payments are making a mockery of the ludicrous ffp rules, I don’t doubt the owners sincerity though,

18 Jul 2019 21:52:27
He has put a structure into place and leaves people to run the club, if he doesn’t like what he sees he acts upon it without hesitation, that’s his pitfall he’s a bit hasty and trigger happy, but if things go well they will get rewarded.
So now it’s up to the players and coaches to perform,
it’s something they would have seen at Olympiacos and speaking to there players that should give them the motivation to succeed.

Playing for Nottingham Forest, and their being professional footballers should all the motivation they need.
