Does anyone out there worry about the number of new players coming to the club . I think most would berate at least 75% of Sheffield United side ie Goldrick and Sharpe up front as an example! Yet they are in the premier league why? The manager and a team that have gelled over 3 to 4 yrs. The only thing our new players seem to have to gell is a common language ie Portuguese. Surely this is the merry go round again. New manager 6 to 8 new players aka Karanka / Warburton et al. A team is a collection of individuals whose sum total together is greater than each of them added individually. Chris Wilder demonstrated that and there are many other examples. I hope the team gel but past form says we will once again be
disappointed and finish mid table and a new manager will be brought in and it will start again. Is getting older making me cynical - probably!

I agree with the manager changes Doc, 6-12 months for a manager isn't good enough and is unreasonable to expect results in that time if your trying to change the team and style of play.
As we know, they all want to bring in players they trust and fit their style of play, fingers crossed we get lucky this time:) . Looking forward to the season start now.
Muric could easy be enough to give us another 10-12 points over the season.

You also need to keep the nucleolus of a good squad together with a manager to be successful which is why I do not want to see too many established players leaving for new overseas signings who may well struggle to hit the ground running?
I think its important we sign another proven Championship striker rather than another bunch of Carlos Kickabout strikers who take too much time to settle in a physical league!
