Ayrs manager Ian Mcall has bigged up Lawrence Shankland, he has said he scores with either foot from distance, he can make space for himself in a second aswell as being strong.
He also said he has three clubs to choose from, one being in Scotland, and one being a sleeping giant, he went on to say he can get even better than he already is.
It would be a huge step up to the Championship but we are hardly a club with huge funds available so we have to take risks with players with ability from lesser leagues to our own.

Gazzibaldi, Everyone is different, some want to see decent football and are willing to wait as progress is being made, some want success no matter how dreadful the football is, then with some it does not matter how good the football is they want success instantly.

I don’t think we should judge this type of player. Not all of them end up a complete disappointment like Cummings.

Probably wouldn't expect a massive wage since he is on a Scottish second tier one currently, also would be a free signing so no risk

We do not want to sign a Scot from League 1 and wait 3 years for him to try and develop!

Red we do not know how good he is, and we were willing to wait for Carvalho to adapt because of he has skill, how many players can quickly make space for themselves and score with both feet, he is worth a try.

Why’s he bugging him up so much?wasnt Cummings bigged up when a potential move was on same as McKay?how does he know what it takes to be a championship player?

Sutton, You make a good point, although we did not spend big on Cummings and McKay we did have to buy them, Ayrs manager has not bigged him up to try and get us to pay more, as the player let his contract run down so the manager has no motive other than say what he thinks.
McKay for me has something there, maybe he lacks motivation, Cummings as far as i remember was only bigged up as far as his ability to score.
Like B R said not massive wages, and a free signing.

I recon the sleeping giant is Sunderland. The lad is saying he wants consistent game time. I'm not sure he would be guaranteed that at Forest, and league 1 would be a decent step into English football for him.
