Remember wenger came from nowhere, changed the whole idea's of the game as a whole, with it's science. For me, and btw f ck off to all those hecklers. Say what ya see. Anyway took over a new era. Wenger could also see players outta position, henry exceptional. From winger to forward. And brought exceptional beliefs in his team as clough/ taylor did. Just approached it differently. This is what i want to see from the owner. For taylors sake you've gambled enough on players. Where did nuno come from? Your usual sh1t from people saying the fans want attacking football. It is football we want reds. But in an honest and horrible way if needs be. Like the old days. I know i know can't get away with it now. But just for me give someone with new ideas and most of all bring trust outta the players. Let them believe in themselves and club. Not the usual predictable sh1t.

I'm afraid I must repeat myself yet again on here after the Everton fiasco and VAR generally.
Firstly there is a need for VAR ( though not as it's implemented now). The game is much faster now with a culture of cheating and diving such that any ref would find it difficult to officiate using the naked eye. Add on the hundreds of millions of quid at stake. If you don't believe me have a look at YouTube and re run Forests 1959 Cup Final or England at the 1966 World Cup. Also, matches were played at slower pace because of mudbath pitch's, not like the billiard tables of today.
However I entirely blame the Premier League for the present widespread fan dissatisfaction because of their arrogance in not learning from the successful implementation of technology in other sports.
So, Rugby League and Union, a try and if there's doubt the ref will ask the simple question "Is there any reason why I may not award it? " He ( and crucially the crowd on big screens ) will view it and accept the VAR advice. Note, for all to see and hear, in public not in a pokey room in Stockly or wherever. Likewise red and yellow cards.
Cricket likewise. Umpires call for marginal decisions ie leg before is more than half the ball going to hit the stumps? Everyone sees ball tracker on the screen and there's no argument and discontent. Likewise, snicko for faint edges and a catch. Likewise run outs. Incidentally the umpires get it right in the vast majority of cases, perhaps because they are usually retired professional cricketers. Perhaps a lesson there for the Prem and PSGOL?
The point is justice must not only be done, it must be seen to be done.
I would have 3 reviews per team per game decided solely by the onfield Captain in 15 seconds after the refs decision. Retained if upheld, lost if wrong. This would cover red and yellow cards as well as goals, offsides penalties etc.
Also wouldn't it be nice if VAR was allowed to be more proactive. Like, have a look ref.
It's easy really and would have prevented at least 2 if not all 3 of the pens against Everton and perhaps Bolys second yellow against Bournemouth and Madisons punch against Spurs, and Toneys foam moving against Brentford etc etc. Incidentally in Rugby the VAR would even advise the ref how to restart the game ie goal line drop out or 5 metre scrum which would have prevented Liverpools retaining the ball after stoppage of play.
Of course, the Prem could do simple obvious things like instant reds for diving for example and advancing the ball 10 yards for disssent. Also PSGOL, if they weren't actually brain dead could have done a paper sift to prevent VAR being run by a supporter of a rival team. This would have given Atwell some protection and prevented the trouble in the first place. I mean, none of the above is rocket science is it? Doh!

I agree with Skegs and many others below- we have EVERY RIGHT to complain about the abysmal referee decisions this season. What do people want? For us to slap them on their back and blow smoke up their arses telling them how wonderful they are? It’s a shambles and we are the ones suffering WEEK IN WEEK OUT. Enough is enough- I’m behind the club 100%.

Just a quick one for skeggs and balloons, in Nottingham there is a local chat room called NEXT DOOR, last Monday someone posted about a person in sneinton who was sun bathing in the nude on Sunday, unfortunately the sun lounger collapsed and the mans testicles got trapped in the loungers mechanism. The fire brigade had to be called and an ambulance attended. I saw the now removed photos on the site pretty graphic. So my fellow reds when the sun shines over the east coast please take care and check your recliner before use. Don’t want any more mishaps do we.

I'm sure I'm not alone on this forum to have friends from all over the country who support other clubs making contact to, basically, take the p. out of Forest's current situation. The latest potential debacle being us squaring up to Sky / Neville. The really sad thing is that I can't defend our club whatsoever.

I actually agree with my mocking friends that our once great club has now become the laughing-stock of the PL. As Norfolk has wisely commented - what a waste of an opportunity our club has made in our promotion to the PL. And the ones that have to suffer this abuse of their loyalty, as usual, are the supporters.

23 Apr 2024 22:19:16
I think the club has relegated itself with their outburst on Sunday. It's all got a bit out of hand really. Especially with the inferred slander. A bit embarrassing from the club. And the officials, mind.

But the essence of our problem Skegs is that, despite the crazy money we have spent, our players are not good enough and our management team throughout the club are woeful too. I expect that our great club will be relegated and remembered in the short term by other PL clubs as a whinging, bitter and twisted lot. Rightfully so.

Referee for Wolves V Luton is a confirmed Notts County fan. Hackett had all the allegiances and geographical allignment checked before appointments made for games. and then Webb and Riley took over and it has gone to pot. A few weeks back moaning by Birmingham City fans online saw a ref change for their game with Cardiff as ref was a relegation rivals Huddersfield fan. as I understand Birmingham did not contact PGMOL and online pressure alone got ref changed!

I think the Premier league along with the FA hate the truth and will make an example of Forest by giving us the harshest penalty they can which can be a hefty fine and a points deduction

I'm thinking worst case scenario £5m fine and 3pt deduction condemning us to the Championship, people are then saying we will lose our star players MGW Murrilo and Danilo so be it if we get 90m plus 60m parachute payment we will have a good enough squad to come back up if we want to

Players like Panzo Dale Taylor andO'Brien will come back

I say 🖕to the corrupt Premier League and VAR and let's get back to proper football in the Championship.

The Championship isn't a level playing field at all, MUNMAD. Parachute payments make it an uneven playing field.

Obviously we are not keen on you lot and wouldn’t be too upset if we lose to Luton at the weekend with our depleted squad.
Would love to see MGW sticking his fingers in his ears in the championship.
But have to agree with you on Stuart Atwell being corrupt and a disgrace to football.
The guy is shameless and unrepenting.
Some of the decisions he’s made against Wolves over the years have been unbelievable with disallowed goals and unwarranted sendings off including two sent off in a game against Mboro under Nuno.
Forest are right to question his integrity.

Mr wolves MGW won’t be in the championship next season, he will be sold along with Murillo and I hope to god the African whose name escapes me but cost 30 mil. Just re reading the hasty statement put out by the club immediately following the Everton game. Its talk of "considering options" and being "not acceptable " is laughable really. What options does the club have? Sue Stuart Atwell, go to court to have the points back, replay the match? Ridiculous. The reality is we have no options, we will end up paying the fine ( and perhaps receive a useless apology from the refs). It reminded me of the impotent rage of King Lear, when, duped out of his kingdom by his evil daughters Goneril and Reagan, stripped of his retinue, a former strong King now absolutely powerless issuing empty threat s.

I will have such revenges on you both
That all the world shall. I will do such things
What they are yet, I know not: but they shall be

I would prefer us to be challenging at the top of the Premiership and you have to be in it to achieve that.

The owner has made mistakes I don’t think anyone can deny that. My hope is he reigns in his ego and has the chance next season to move the club in the right direction with an attack minded manager and players that buy into the philosophy and give their all.

I cannot understand why some people want to be relegated to the Championship, seems a very strange attitude but I guess we are all different.
