Oj71 at schoolboy level you deal with it head it clear, out for a corner anywhere. Just deal with it. Unless samba asked him to leave it while he punched it into ths net is doubtfull. You are on the post at corners to intercept anything short. By meant it, grabban deliberately left it, not an accident. Why would you do that?

Agreed Jonah. I remember just about the first thing Clough and Taylor (a goalkeeper himself of course) did on arrival was to replace the perfectly adequate John Middleton with the World Number 1 Shilts. Worth 20 points a season. Everybody remembers Robbo s goal winning us the European Cup against Hamburg but it was Shilton s stupendous saves what really won it!

I see jack colback gave possession away six times and only managed to win one tackle yesterday.
Thats appalling and i just don't understand hughton playing him never mind making him captain.
As regards samba i think the whole defence has no understanding of each other everyone of them makes mistakes and with the holding midfielders not capable of tackling its no wonder we concede.
Time for hughton to change personnel in those positions and look to find tbe right blend, its not always the best players on paper that make the best team.
Hughton got plenty to chose from so has to give others out the squad a go.

Sorry Wonky Eye should have said first thing after getting Forest to the First Division not arrival at the club. I guess Shilton wouldn’t have signed for the Reds whilst they were in the second division as I think he’s just left Stoke as they were relegated.

Not convinced by the keeper, but we got bigger problems than him at mo, we’ve paid 3 mill for a centre back, who has a habit of backing off into his own 6 yard box, and leaving opposition forwards in acres of space on the penalty spot, twice he did it last night, once cost a goal, and the other time should have, he needs to get to grips quickly with this league, or it will cost us a lot of goals,

Bit harsh stevief. The pundits said that but i disagree. The crap called Soh was responsible as was blacket. Mckenna tried to atrack everything and had a solid debut. Taylor was shocking as was christie. Colback is another rejectput that clown sow in the mix, god help us.

Sow didn’t track the runner. That was the source of the goal. Easy to blame McKenna but it was clever play from the striker holding his run.

Forest were on top just before the goal 60/ 40 in favour of possession playing nice football, misfiring at tones as only you expect from a new team . The goal took the wind out if their sales . Taylor is a good player and Soh a good centre back on their debut both did well . Blackett was the weakest of all the new ones . I still think stick with SL for now . If he resorts back to his old formation and drops the new boys it does not portray him well. I think keep the back 3 and drop Blackett add Riberio . Keep Colback Freeman and Arter then Ameobi Taylor and Grabban would be the next team for me.
