Does anyone think the Liverpool goal should not have counted? Gakpo deliberately obstructs Sels who is coming to punch the ball. Gakpo then appears to actually back into the goal keeper. Sels therefore misses the ball with his punch and it comes to Jiota who scores. Is this legitimate in today's football?

Slight flick of Murillo's head too.

Thought exactly the same. Since when has that been permitted?

I thought it was a foul on Sells. The player is not obliged to move out of the keepers way but I thought he was actually grappling with him to prevent him getting to the ball. A foul in any other part of the pitch.
Corners are a shambles so it’s a difficult one for the ref. I don know if it was actually VARd. The replays I’ve just watched show a definate obstruction but there’s a lot going on in the box.

Ed what is your opinion on Liverpools goal please.
{Ed001's Note - for some reason they are now allowed to block the keepers. Arsenal have been doing it all season, but I don't like it. There is a case for saying the fault is on the defensive team for bringing everyone back and making it a crowd scene though. Teams should leave players up so the attacking team hasn't got the bodies to block off the keeper.}

Thanks Ed. Forest always bring all 11 back. If wood stayed up that would take two defenders out, if two stayed up three. Suddenly de congested penalty area.
