Yup i know another post from mr negative but listen to this. We have no chance of beating chelsea in the cup, lamouchi's words. So uses the game to experiment with youngsters and squad players. Those tkts were not cheap and i said at the time tell the fans before they spent their hard earned and arrange travel. We learned from the chelsea game that mighten could be a force, so we thought
No he has been totally perifial and not got a chance so we bring in a huddersfield cast off instead. Is it me
So the Charlton game is a must win game as just getting a point at wba will be like a victory. So we cwnt beat chelsea so field a much weakened and experimental team to gauge the strength of the squad. I get that in essence but did we learn anything
Charlton are a struggling team so a capable 3 points up for grabs. Nah let's really make it difficult for ourselves or nearly impossible. Do you see my point? Where is the logical thinking? Are we in the hands of a potential genious or a baffoon? The footbal is dreadful and we ride our luck no doubt about it. So if we beat wba, which is a must now he could be a genious, but i fear another sheff weds debacle is just around the corner.

Agree on the back up selections for Charlton, big mistake and to be fair to him he wore it.

Buffoon? No chance. As poor as it is to watch, you don't devise and drill a system to the extent he has without having something about you. That squad of players is never a third place team without his input.

Charlton was either complacency or a misguided attempt to involve fringe players. I don't see it happening again given its results, but to be fair the recruiters should be giving him better support.

Good to have you back cjay, not seen you on here for a while. I did post earlier saying that no other manager, period, would have pulled this sort of stunt and i stand by that. Its not the first time he has bewildered us. I used the chelsea example to highlight the no logic to changes. on the way SL sets his team up its reliant on a solid back four and everyone keeps saying particularly early season and all of last we need a settled back four. Our 2 full backs can run all day so why rest them? Anyway i have done this to death, lamouchi accepted his error re fullbacks but the whole thing about not considering the fans and underestimating the opposition at this time in his forest tenure was a mistake of monumental proportions.

He took a big risk against Charlton, probably believing in his fringe players a bit too much. But, let's not get too downhearted, Lamouchi has been superb overall, a breath of fresh air, new found optimism at the club, in the promotion hunt having built a well-drilled squad with an immense team spirit.

He just made a big mistake. let's move on. And let's be honest, even if we finish 6th and fail in the Play-Offs, it's been the best season at Forest for years.

He’s made the same mistakes a couple of times and that’s my concern- you cannot assume anything in this league and you definitely cannot underestimate anybody. If anything is going to cost us this season it’s poor game management In a couple of games and underestimating our opponents (or overestimating ourselves? ) .
