Oops I did it again 😂😂😂 . Ameobi cracking free signing but only 2 goals to his name, a bit unpredictable at times but creates goal scoring opportunities and goals. Lolley great player again but hasn't hit the same heights as last season in general play, goals and goal scoring opportunities for others. I think defence, midfield protectors and goalie are sound but the second half of the season we need more from midfield like Stone, Woan, Bohinen and BartWilliams used too. Also if we get another striker someone to sit behind Grabban in the number 10 role who do we sacrifice. Whatever happens I hope we turn the CG into a place to be feared and can find a way to topple teams who stick 10 men and the bus in defence, with 3 of our next 5 at home it's a good chance to pick up a lot of points. Lamouchi and his team at least for now have given us something to cheer this season let's just hope we keep hold of him .

I think we will get players from abroad but would like us to sign Bowen if possible . 2 million would probably get Lansbury back who I think would work well in this team. Very capable of scoring 8-10 goals from midfield - an essential facet when you play one up top.

Sabri as you say has got the goalkeeper, and defensive side of things sorted, he also has team full of spirit. We do lack someone to challenge Lolley and a couple of players able to open up well organised defences on a regular basis. I think the team sometimes loses patience against tough defences so resort to shooting from distance which is more often than not going to work. Sabri has got more right than wrong in his short time with us, should we be in the top six come Christmas i think the club will offer him a longer deal. Whoever joins the team in January needs to better than we already have, and i'm sure the club have been, and still are working hard in doing that, the hardest part is the task of getting rid of the likes of Hefele, and others that the club have and will replace. Leeds and WBA inspite of having the quality midfielders you mentioned both faded last season so with some good signings and a good run automatic promotion is possible, but like yourself i would be happy enough to finish the season having made a good fist of challenging for any form of promotion. The only problem is when your hopes turn into expectations, as more often than not you will be disappointed then turn bitter.

Lansbury had the odd good game, but he cannot tackle and constantly got yellow/red cards. Yesterday's man. I trust Anigo to get us a few more gems from abroad.

I agree Lansbury was decent and also won a lot of free kicks remember Villa in his last season game on sky. Was also good at winding up players to win free kicks in and around dangerous areas. But didn't he angle for a move for a couple seasons and I also agree he was yesterday's player. I reckon there's better out there.

They say never go back cloughie and I'm not advocating he comes back, just saying he was a good goalscoring midfielder and not a waste of space like some would have us believe.
To me all successful sides have to have goals like this?
Full backs 2 or three
Centre backs 5 ish
Wingers double figures between them
One central midfielder that's capable of double figures and a striker that can get 18 plus.
We have the striker, we have the defenders lolley will come good and be the winger we just lack the general in midfield that gives us that extra goal threat.
That's not having a go at any player but if those players we have can't score 8 at least then we need better.
Really pleased with how the season is going and Lamouchi has to take all the plaudits for that doing a remarkable job with just one striker.

Bsered, Lansbury cost us 1.5 million, when you think of what we’ve spent on other players it’s hard to say he wasn’t a decent player .
