Yesterdays pre season friendly told us one thing that Joe Worrall is garbage, his performance and huge error for there goal was awful.
The game was played in 30c at a slow pace with regular water breaks.

First half
Brennan Johnson, Appiah and Richardson looked very good with some very good touches.
Johnson didn't put a foot wrong.
Dawson was strong and steady at the back, no nonsence lesson from him.
Grabban missed 3 good chances but the Alfreton centre half was excellent and made it hard work for Grabban.
Yacob was effortlessly as def mid with simple play that works, no fancy stuff in the heat.

Second half
Mixture of standouts
Sammy was quality driving forward, switching flanks absolute rocket that shook the Alfreton crossbar and about snapped it. Quality run and pass for Karims tap in.
Karim played well and produced a couple of decent saves from Alfreton goalkeeper.
Benny drove forward and a nice free kick went just wide from him.
Murphy held up play well but no end product.
Ben Watson played centre back and his passing was dreadful, he could have took a lesson from Alfreton centre back and all i can say to mr Watson is if you are one of the trouble maker players getting managers sacked, just listen to Martin o Neil becouse he's right you are NOT good enough.

I'm saying that about Watson since he signed for us the guy is horrendously s***e, no pace, no power, zero football, no end product, can't head the ball, cannot pass the ball forward, no addition at all on any level, and too make it worse has an opinion of himself since the FA cup goal for Wigan 👎👎👎👎 he is dirt.

Only negative is the fact we still only managed 2 goals against alfreton no disrespect to them but hardly same level of competition we are going to be up against.

It was only a friendly Dan. Result not important just about getting players fit.

You shouldn't take anything away from it. First game of pre-season = means absolutely nothing!
