Heard from a good sourde, 10 to 11 players will be leaving the city ground this summet. I assume it will those loanees whos loans end and 6 or 7 players with contracts running out in the summer. SP feels that they have not worked hard enough to wear the forest badge.
Re. Derbyshire. No signs that contract will be offrred.
New signings: SP has given list to Fawaz and wotk has begun. All the plsyers are from lower divisions or young players.
most importantly, SP wants to work on making the club closer. He plans to make the academy and first team more integrated. He has arranged staff meetings to get to knoall the club - club shop staff, ticket office staff, groundsmen etc.
He wants everyone to be united suporting the team as it was under Brisn Clough.

Surely not all from lower leagues? I know there are some gems to be found like pato but its always a risk and I would hope we could bring some proven quality in.

Let's be serious here. Players from lower leagues are our best bet, we aren't going to hoover up loads of Prem or top Championship players.
Wickham's just scored crucial goals, Sunderland aren't going to let him go now.
Rhodes would cost 8 million plus
Hooper will be on fat wages at Norwich and cost a lot too
Redmond will stay in the Prem if Norwich go down.
etc
{Ed034's Note - lucky we didn't use that thinking when we signed Lansbury and Hobbs
4.) 27 Apr 2014
To be fair regarding players not been good there's been points this season where all players have under performed in personally happy over all and would have taken the finish before the season the club is going the right way in Pearce we trust
5.) 27 Apr 2014
I agree, let's get real. None of the big names floated around last year came near us. We will always be trumped by premier league money or parachute-payment money.
It is many years since Forest are seen as a big draw. We're too near to Forest to see it but the outside world is not.
If Pearce concentrates on youn, hungry recruits that he can mold plus one or two oldies ( a la Reidy) who will provide a leavening of experience we will be alright. (And, as importantly, we won' t be spending hours of the close season chasing mirages on the rumours site)
6.) 28 Apr 2014
We need to get rid of some, but our fully fit squad is nearly there, need another wideman, Striker or 2 and another Midfielder, and another established Keeper! Job done!
7.) 28 Apr 2014
Both Hobbs and Lansbury were unwanted by their own clubs and were probably touted by their agents. Ideal targets at the time. I hope we sign Derbs and Halford. Halford offers us cover in so many positions and will be hard to replace (Peltier could prob do a similar job if l think about it). Replacing 10 players is never easy. I just want to see players coming into the club who will die for the club, l don't care what is motivating them. Here's to a bright future under SP.
8.) 28 Apr 2014
I appreciate that changes to the squad need to be made but the club need to be careful. Upheaval every summer means we are always saying "it will take us time to gel" and then watch supposed less established clubs have better campaigns. Spurs & Leicester are two examples. Spurs sell Bale and make 10 changes resulting in massive under performance. Leicester lick their wounds from last season, make 1 or 2 changes and win the league at a canter.

Billy and Delia. Lol.
11.) 28 Apr 2014
I have heard from sources at the club that Pearce will not spend big money this summer on players who will have inflated wage demands. He will off load around 6 to 10 players this summer with some obvious candidates. He will be looking at bringing in players from other championship and League one clubs who have consistently performed for their club and who have realistic demands, also he will bring in young players from the academy and is already spending time there looking at the potential players who will be able to step up next year. He really wants players who will give it all in a Forest shirt and be proud to wear it and not just a bunch of players who just want to earn a quick £££ in the Championship putting in an average performance week in week out. With the FFP rules really being enforced now he will not gamble on taking Forest into lots of debt.
12.) 28 Apr 2014
I can just see Delia in the middle of the pitch shouting to Billy Let's be havin you
13.) 28 Apr 2014
A clear out is certainly needed, but you see this when ever a new manager goes in. SP will not play the same as BD and therefore will require different player attributes. We've got some good experianced players at the club, so I really hope SP uses his knowledge and contacts to attract up and coming players. I know every signing won't be a success, but one or two might and that is all we need. and a bit of luck with injuries!
14.) 28 Apr 2014
To the top reply Pearce highlighted all this in his interview with Talkspport about meetings with all staff and youth squad so nothing new there

Forest have some quality in the youth ranks that deserve a break. Demetriou for one would be worth a shot up front.
I see nothing wrong in plucking from the academy for some talent, after all, that's what it's there for.
As for plundering the lower leagues for talent, it's worked in the past, look at Tyson, Holt and Pato so I'm all up for SP plucking the best of what's below and raising them the Forest way.
16.) 28 Apr 2014
We need strikers who can deliver a good return on investment. What we have currently is not good enough. Spend the money on attacking options. Defence and midfield are fine and don't need messing with. We need to spend big on one player and supplement it with a up and comer like Callum Wilson.
17.) 28 Apr 2014
I'm just guessing that with the amount of typos either the original OP has really fat fingers and using an iPhone or is utterly drunk lol
18.) 28 Apr 2014
Think need to strengthen in all departments but get young determining players with good future will be a start, think need an proven experienced goalscorer. Don't think are defence is fine as conceded 14 goals in last 6 (or go further back 35 in 16) which will get no one promoted.
19.) 28 Apr 2014
Agree with willow, Wilson looks like a v good player with pace to burn. I would like to see him teamed up with Macheda who is on loan but seems to be leaving Man U in the summer, he is a big guy and knows where the back of the net is
20.) 28 Apr 2014
Macheda is a good shout. I mentioned him last week. Should'nt cost that much either.
