I am hearing from a good source Keane is being lined up as manager but not sure if short or long term as he is ROI assistant manager, not sure how that will interfere with his job there.

I hope that's not true, great player average manager. Gazza2969
2.) 28 Mar 2014
At the rate we are going we are going to have to take anyone who will take it
3.) 28 Mar 2014
Just read a report that O'Neill will leave Keane and ROI to take over at Forest if agreement can be made!
4.) 28 Mar 2014
Maybe MON was the man Fawaz hinted at all along and all the other names have been a smokescreen. It would make more sense that John McGovern would be more interested in him than others?
5.) 28 Mar 2014
The band Keane would do better job
6.) 28 Mar 2014
Keane is a nasty piece of work! No thanks!
7.) 28 Mar 2014
How bout MON DOF alongside his Ireland position and Steve Clarke as head coach? Clarke coaching record is impressive. COYR
8.) 28 Mar 2014
Roy Keane would never walk out on the Republic of Ireland team.
Eh? Oh.
9.) 28 Mar 2014
People like MON and Keane get mentioned everytime we`re after a manager. I think its always speculation and wishful thinking. I personally don`t see either managing Forest anytime soon. Zola`s starting to look the most likely and credible name at the moment.

Nooooooo!
Looks like Zola is the ony one left?
Maybe everyone sees the owner as someone who sticks his hooter in too much and then sacks you?
We are in a bit of a bad way at the minute!
11.) 28 Mar 2014
You would have to think that Roy Keane would be as prickly a customer as Billy Davies to deal with. Surely Forest need someone calm, authoritative and approachable after the previous reign!

I think fawaz should just leave Gary brazil in charge till the end of the season 8 games to go hopefully 11and appoint a manager in the summer. We could be in the prem and the stock of the job rises. Think positive. U redssss

That " report" is on a site where anyone can post and the poster has only two other posts.

I think it's pretty obvious there is a problem behind the scenes at Forest, probably relating to the Chairman.
I believe Fawaz has great intentions for Forest and I don't believe the rumours that he wants to meddle in first team selection but I do think he has little experience or idea of how to actually run a football club. I am guessing that many prospective Manager's are noticing this immediately, hence many Managers turning the job down or distancing themselves from it.
Fawaz needs to learn to sign the cheques and stand well back. I presume his character and controlling nature is suffocating the club.

I'm not sure whether it is mostly fears about Chairman interference. I suspect that after giving Billy a 4 year contract Fawaz is reluctant to even give a new man the job beyond the end of the season. Once bitten twice shy? The top managers will not accept a short term deal.
MY advice to Fawaz is to offer the right man the job permanently and let him take over now. It would give the new manager time to assess the squad and may give us the boost we need to get into the play-offs.
If we are not going to make a permanent appointment then we could take a punt on McGovern for the last few games LOL.
