Nat has tweeted that we are looking for a striker, not just from the Premier league, but around Europe. But Billy will only bring in a striker who is right for the club.

Great stuff. Billy always to my knowledge (correct me if I'm wrong ed) got a long run of games out his forest teams so this plus our incumbent striker hopefully will thunder the division. Great times are here and even better to come.

But we have tried haven't we but lost out to QPR with one, parachute payments are a wonderful persuasive factor, and one who did a runner after a medical for better things WHICH didn't materialise.

I would certainly welcome Conner Wickham for a loan period as he needs to prove he is worth his 8m? price tag?

To say we are trying to go up on the cheap is ridiculous. try telling that to some of the other teams in the league. Relatively speaking we have spent a lot of money on fess and wages combined. We clearly have been trying to get a striker for sometime but 20 goal a season ones are hard to come by. There is no point buying more of what we already have.

{Ed034's Note - I think not only is it a silly comment but also very rude considering the amount of money fawaz has put in and is also trying to put in (sako and leadbitter bids weren't cheap). Very disrespectful

Additionaly to this tweet she said in EMT we are hoping to tie a deal up tonight or tomorrow. She actually said "by the game" so imagine deal was either done by lunchtime today (can then register and play) and not announced yet or will be done tomorrow and not eligible.

You get what you pay for and trying to belittle my opinion does not make you look good, I only want the best for my club, we all know who what players we need to get rid of and then we can get the top players and not cheap alternatives.

{Ed034's Note - no belittling going off. At a time when most clubs are not spending, fawaz is spending millions and is also trying to spend more. For you to say he is trying to get promotion on the cheap is extremely disrespectful and ignorant.

If I remember correctly, Harry Rednap said when going to QPR that they had to many players on high wages and weren't working for it or even worth it. That's why they got relegated. Well I don't think the present team is much better, and they are still spashing the cash on average players. They may be above Forest at the moment but much of that is down to our lack of finishing of opponents.
The sooner we put this right we will be up there amongst them. Burley are playing well, but have they got a squad to keep it up?

Why are we surprised we have not bought a 20 goals a season striker in? If you have a 20 goal a season striker you hang onto him and bat off all offers as he is probably the guy keeping you from getting relegated. It is very short sighted to say we have money therefore we should be able to buy a top class striker. The football world does not work like that.

Ed, what you said is bang on, could not have put it better. Our Fawaz is by far the best owner in the league. Will do anything for our Bill. Chaps we have got a fantastic owner here. He will build us into a force. Between them we will have a fantastic chance of going up. I know they are searching high and low.

The moment halford came on today we were down to 9 players. With our current forwards we'll be mid table at best. Need to get better striker on loan now.

No power and pace in th final third, No Natural goal scorer, Love Billy an Fawaz but this should have been addressed ages ago. Cox, Derbyshire, Mackie are all far too similar, what are they? they ain't forwards, they ain't wingers and they ain't midfielders?

After watching the game yesterday I think the sending off meant it was always going to be tough. On the plus side we defended extremely well agInst a team with some strong attacking options. We looked organised and the lads were hunting in packs to close them down. Blackpool stopped us countering by fouling us at the first sniff of a break, which was effective. The thing that annoyed me wasnt the loss but the absolute inability to show some composure in front of goal. Again halford was utilissd as a target man but didn't win the ball once, that I can remember, and looked clumsy on thr ball. It must be so demoralising and humiliating for miller, cox, derbyshire and dex to see him on the field ahead of them. No wonder they have no confidence.
