Just seen on ss ws that we have put in a bid for leadbitter

Yes just seen on sky. Not sure if we need him to be fair? Would love sako though looks like making a last bid for morgan would be good that personly i'd like a striker with a 20 goal garuntee! But who?

We definately need him. He is an excellent holding midfielder who would sit perfectly in front of our all ready impressive back four.

I am scared that if we sign leadbitter it means the end of Guedioura as I've just had his name and number put on my away shirt!

We do need him, he's a good player and there's going to be a lot of rotation untill the end of the window and teams that get promoted are the ones with good players in depth would you agree ed, edwood or edwin?

{Ed034's Note - he'll benefit the squad, but there is a real chemistry with the midfield and I just hope that doesn't change

I do agree that we do need to be able to rotate players & we need strength in depth. I share the concern that it may upset the balance of the midfield; the back four & our midfield are really impressive atm. we just seem to be lacking up front. Guedioura has made a good start this season my only criticism is that he sometimes overplays.

This would be great signing. pep is not a holding midfielder, he is doing a great job but makes too many errors. he needs to be free to play in the middle and with the assurance of a leadbitter when he misplaces a pass.

pep and lans left to go free with leadbitter holding will be amazing. a the moment pep and lans have too many defensive responsibilities as majewski couldn't track back if his life depended on it.

I think he would slot straight in. I rate geds hugely as a player but I do not think his best position is in front of the back four. Gives too many balls away, a bit erratic tackling and all too often doesn't do the simple thing. Not criticising though because I would love leadbitter to come in and for geds to play further up in the role majewski has been playing. I think he would have far more influence over games and chip in with more goals

Agree with the last comment about Pep not being a holding midfielder; he regularly mistimes his tackles and gives the ball away far too often to play in his current role so a defensive/holding midfielder is exactly what we need right now (along with a natural goalscorer!)

been thinking about leadbitter signing maybe bd is thinking about playing 4-2-3-1 with Guedioura & leadbitter as 2 holding midfielers?
