Bid for Kelvin Wilson to be rejected as is short of Neil Lennon's £3 million valuation with Wilson still having two years to run on his contract, source: Scottish paper. £3 million, really? Is it just me or are clubs asking for silly money for players at the moment. At this rate we'll be lucky if we sign anybody who isn't a free agent/loan.

Wilson has 1 year left on his contract with a possible 12 month extension which Celtic haven't took up yet. so he isn't worth £3million if he's only got a year left.

3 mil?! I'm not Collin's greatest fan but I'm sure we could do well with a combo of Hobbs, lascelles, Halford with Collins for back up. 5.5 mil (the 3 Lennon's asking for and the 2. 5 I presume Leicester want) could be spent on something we haven't got, a natural goalscorer!

I posted the same thing a week ago. at this rate we will end of with freebies and loans! Everybody we want other clubs are also chasing and the fact we have money (supposedly) people want BIG money for these players. However - what is big money - 3 million pound for Kelvin Wilson who at 1 point last year was being considered for an England Call up from Hodgson? So is it that we looking busy with offers that are far lower than what we know the clubs are valuing their players at. #frustrating

Like I said, persist with the likes of the lad Holt at Hearts and this lad at Mansfield but pay what they want if its a bit more to get him on board. Putting in silly low offers will only give other clubs time to be alerted and to pinch them from under our noses. (I know its the art of business negotiation). Build for the future in all positions but get us a recognised goal poacher to get us to the promised land.

One of the 2 defenders signed has hardly kicked a ball in anger in 2 yrs due to injury and is a complete punt to see if he can regain promise he showed before so kelvin is not behind him in the pecking order. Celtics transfer policy is to develop young players and sell for a profit then reinvest in team bringing up the standard each year. Celtic just refuse to be held to ransom any more we don't want to sell KW but will if we realise enough of a profit
