Apparently the rumour is true. Forest are definitely trying to sign Glenn Murray. It will be either until the end of the season or on an18 month contract.

Yeah just heard it. Fed up to the back teeth of what we as a club have become: the last haven for those seeking a fat final payoff for their careers. I mean, who wants a 37yr old striker? And he ain't going to want to run and run at that age, just to get a glimmer of a chance at scoring: because our useless midfielders won't be able to cross it to him. that would be way too adventurous, and creative.
We will be the laughing stock of the Championship once more, and I can see all those young opposition players rubbing their hands together at our OAP of a team. CH, jog on.

He would be decent loan unit the end of the season - if we had some decent players who could cross the ball. Sadly that’s not the case.

I wouldn't complain if we got him until the end of the season IF HE IS ACTUALLY FIT!
I get the boss might want another option, but no way should we be in a position where we need him. If Swann isn't ready why did we let Tyler Walker go? It's obvious we need a player who can either hold up play or somebody quicker than Grabban and Taylor. Yes Murray can hold it up and is good in the air. However, he is hardly going to split defences with his pace.

Hasn't played for Watford since October. Last I saw the local paper said he was training on his own. Seriously doubt he can be fit.
