That’s a great 1st team on paper true red. Only thing is, do you worry about our second string when the injuries and suspensions come? I do if I’m honest. We need lots quality signings. I feel we did well last year with a group of loans that basically were the best players we had at our disposal. But they have gone and we are slowly replacing them but we need them replacing plus another half a dozen quality players. My worry about the signings so far is that apart from Henderson there is no premier league experience. We need a couple of steady prem performers and if the Budget allows some kind of stellar signing such as an Ericsson or a Bale (I know that my examples have done deals with other clubs, but they are the type of player I mean) to make a real statement. But in cooper I trust so fingers crossed the new signings all make an impact. So excited for the season to start now!

My problem is history has shown us you cannot buy a successful team . If this team comes to fruition only 4 players from our wining side survive.

Spence lowe cook zinc Davis garner surrige all came in and gelled, so I can't actually see your point.
We have to bring in quality players or we will go straight back down for sure.

It is possible to have a squad that’s actually too big and unwieldy ( and over expensive) . Players left out and unhappy and spread mischief amongst the squad. Not every player has the professionalism and attitude of Cafu for example. A smallish, tight, band of brothers type ethos is the way forward imo but infused with quality and hunger.
Just think of Real Madrid with their galaticos! Too many big egos and not enough team spirit.

I thought in the long term FF they under achieved in what was then a 2 team League and Barcelona usually won out?

Plus didn’t Real have financial meltdown a few years later? I must admit I only take a passing interest in foreign leagues so I bow to your superior knowledge mate.
